Tasks

We were expected to create a living space in a small 2-room apartment in a new solid-cast building.

The apartment owner is a young man, who shares a similar point of view with us regarding the interior living space, therefore it was very easy for us to find a common ground and create a convenient, functional and modern space.

Shenyang CR Land Twenty-Four City – Zen Art in Liaoning Province, China by Li Yizhong Interior Design

Wednesday, October 5th, 2016

Article source: Li Yizhong Interior Design

Zen is a realm of life and also an experience which can equip you for the whole life.

Zen is a mundane meditation, which emphasizes you to master inner peace. “Void” (in Buddhism) reaches the highest realm. Our hearts should not be attached to anything. Since the new realm appears, mind and matter have combined emotion and object into one.

Simona and Carlo’s Apartment in Varese, Italy by Duearchitetti

Tuesday, October 4th, 2016

Article source: Duearchitetti

They have asked us to rethink the entrance to the house. The direct access to the dining area was preventing the sensation of surprise that every home should have.

A big sliding panel put in front of you, after having passed the entrance staircase, serves a dual purpose: to arouse your curiosity and to oblige your choice of itinerary, that is, walking up the stairs to the bedrooms or entering the living area. A compact space has been created in order to reveal in advance the expanded and bright living area of the house.

Mr Lu Residence by Alfonsoideas Ltd

Friday, September 30th, 2016

Article source: Alfonsoideas Ltd

This is a 35 year old apartment that has total floor area of 86m2 including front and back balconies. It is a 3 bedroom unit and the ceiling height is only 2.4m which is not very high. . The space look rather small and tidy before the renovation , the idea was to open the public space and try to put all the storage in the decent space either against the wall or attach to the corner as if the space could look much cleaner. In order to make the space look bigger , the bedroom behind the living room was converted into a open study area which has very long study desk that can sit for 2 people at the same time. Using the brown tinted glass as the visual barrier to separate the study area and the living space, and yet it look much larger looking out from the study area. The TV wall cabinet extended twice longer so the living room can visually look bigger than before .

Thursday, September 29th, 2016

Article source: T3 Architecture

Complete refurbishment of this duplex in the center of Marseille by the french studio T3 Architecture. The existing flat suffered from a significant lack of light and its main rooms were constrained by the central staircase.

The architects completely released the heart of the apartment by removing the stairs and most of the partitions. The entrance of the flat now enjoys a generous double height volume that offers a visual communication between the different spaces of the two storeys.
