Located in the very heart of Paris, in the ever-changing district of Les Halles, La Cave a Vin 9 offers a new vision of wine bars – high-end yet within reach. We endeavoured to create a new kind of place, breaking away from conventions and all that is already known, rethinking its space to match the way people enjoy food and drinks today.

The Bechtel Conference Center is designed to communicate the values of The Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC), a San-Francisco-based think-tank dedicated to public policy decision-making through nonpartisan research and dialogue. The Center, located on the ground floor of PPIC’s downtown San Francisco office building, reflects the organization’s ideals of openness and cooperative communication.
Software used: For the wood fin geometry in the conference center, used Rhino at the concept phase to quickly study different forms. Then used AutoCAD to develop the design and create profile for each one of the 297 pieces for production.
The agency Ova Design is responsible for the central area of the Nature & Découvertes shop in Levallois, to stimulate the senses of its visitors. This original natural living bubble allows visitors to experience a new era of simplicity and interactivity. Nature & Découvertes is marking the start of a new customized model so that each shop is unique. The brand called upon the services of Ova Design to create and design this space within the 190m² of its new sales outlet.

The wooded site location became the beginning point for the concept of this project. The house was meant to read as if it were dropped into the woods and therefore different than the natural landscape but not dominant over it. The design was kept very minimal and simple: in elevation it is the classic 4 sided house with a 45 degree roof. To further illustrate this idea, the house was raised on a concrete plinth that is inset from the footprint of the house, thereby emphasizing the bottom two corners which help articulate the houses edges and the fact that it is this object that is placed within these woods.

This 4,000 square foot classic loft space tries to maintain the openness, utilitarian and industrial language of its raw brick, wood, and steel elements exposed. We created separations between rooms by placing free standing volumes instead of floor to ceiling partitions creating a landscape of intriguing geography, materials, heights, light and shadow.
Expo CIHAC is the biggest annual architecture and construction exhibition in Latin America. Like many other exhibitions, it creates large-scale contamination due to the excess waste it generates. Almost all the pavilions of the different brands and products related to the architecture and construction industry, end up in the trash. Deeply concerned by this, we approached the exhibition principals with the proposal of creating a low cost – zero waste sustainable pavilion that could set an example for future exhibitions.
The Botín Foundation has established its new offices in Madrid by choosing a 1920s industrial building by the architect Gonzalo Aguado, which was for years the Silversmith workshop of Luis Espuñes and more recently the Vinçon shop in Madrid.
The peculiarity of this building has given us the opportunity to create a reference point. With this in mind, the new project attempts to retain the spirit of the original industrial character, in keeping with the same philosophy of the Foundation, which is a driving force for developing talent.
The design of addition to the Samrode, SIA construction company headquarters in Ventspils is based on the desire of the client and the project team to create a compact and contemporary architectural volume that maintains a harmonious and complimentary relationship with its historic city center context. The conceptual narrative for this building is based on three scales of purposeful design operations in response to opportunities/limitations offered by the site. From the urban design perspective, the massing of this building is determined by the precedent outlines of a munitions warehouse and a wooden shed, previously present on the site.
This re-imagining of an Ulrich Franzen masterpiece, delicately updates materials, and reconfigures its use adapting it for a corporate headquarters of a shipping company. The division of the individual spaces generates the creation of volumes stand distant enough to structure so that its original features are still primary to the whole.
