House in a garden park:

A modern dwelling in a garden park in the middle of a city in Belgium: The house gradually appears as the visitor approaches over a winding path through a park filled with old trees. In the end, a particularly harmonious white volume reveals itself.

Hawthorn House in Victoria, Australian by Pleysier Perkins

Accommodating the slope of the site as a terraced floor plan and landscape, this 5 bedroom family home extends around a central courtyard soccer pitch and pool. Strong horizontal canopies combine with a vertical split faced concrete core to create a home combining intimacy, volume and sheltered openness.

Section in Hoogstraten, Belgium by Burobill

Architecture and music share a mathematical principle : the golden section.This principle is used to arrange and order the existing house as a spine running through it.The music room was designed and constructed from scratch using the golden section as a tool to design the facades, the plan, the height of the ceiling, the section of the beams etcetera…All elements of the music chamber are generated by the same principle.

Farmhouse K by architectenbureau Huib Koman

In order to increase indoor space of this 19th century farmhouse, half of it is respected in it’s current monumental state. Other half is scaled 150% in order to create a larger ground floor, with improved connection to the garden and the possibility to create an extra bedroom at the upper floor.

Inner City Downsize house is a neatly resolved design solution to a number of key challenges. Our role was to create a family home on a tight inner-city site. Our approach was to maximize the use of the site to create an enlarged floor plan and enriched spatial complexity. Passive design principles inform the project throughout.

BQ-17 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam by 23o5studio

The house locates at a peaceful uncrowded neighborhoods in Binh Chanh Distinct, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. After 10 years working and saving, the couples bought a 7m x 16m ground. They wanted to have a comfortable house for kids: 3 rooms for family members, 1 room for grandparents’ visit, garage, and functionalities (working room, altar, etc.). However, urban planning requires to leave 2.5m front and 2m behind the house. This requirement makes the build able area a little small in the comparison with expectation of investors. The given solution is to build interleaving spaces, which have different foolproof, placed around a central vertical space. This solution creates voids and connections between rooms.

Nahahum in Near Cashmere, Washington by Balance Associates, Architects

Located north of Cashmere, Washington, in the Nahahum Canyon, this 1650 square foot two story dwelling is set into the hillside with concrete retaining walls that guide the form of the cabin. Its east west longitudinal axis and generous overhangs are designed to take advantage of solar orientation while maintaining panoramic views. The main entry is a two story room with full height glazing on the north and south walls that frame the most dramatic down-canyon view. An eastern oriented living space and kitchen occupy most of the main floor along with a powder room and utility area located within the hillside portion of the home. The upper floor contains the master suite and guest bedroom/bathroom with a loft style flex space that opens up to the living room below.
