Saturday, November 29th, 2014

Article source: BAK arquitectos

This work is the result of a process that began in 2004 with the construction of a summer house in the forest of Mar Azul.

It was necessary to intervene in a territory of great scenic beauty, owner of a powerful wild presence that is gradually becoming domesticated due to the proliferation of houses with a formal search from bucolic to picturesque which in nothing refers to that environment or to this present .

Mühlestrasse residential and studio building in Edlibach, Switzerland by AmreinHerzig

Friday, November 28th, 2014

Article source: AmreinHerzig

The slight rotation compared to the long volumes of the terraced houses and its polygonal form give the tower-like monolithic apartment building a stronger autonomy, thereby benefiting its relationship with the two neighbouring buildings on the other side of the street. This creates a village environment, an expanded street space towards which the building entrances are aligned.
