G House in Zapopan, Mexico by Agraz Arquitectos

Sunday, April 3rd, 2016

Article source: Agraz Arquitectos

The G House layout departs from the site’s recognition and also from the willingness to conquer the terrain after understanding its solar paths.

From the basement garage come all the service areas and house equipment, giving its dwellers the possibility of independent worlds within the place.

Na Xemena House and the collection of outdoor furniture Na Xemena, both designed by Ramón Esteve, celebrate their 20th birthday.

Both the house and the furniture have become points of reference for the contemporary design. The collection, an icon of outdoor furniture, was designed by the architect following the same conceptual parameters as the house and was later produced by the family-run textile company Gandía Blasco.

Casa L in Buenos Aires, Argentina by ALRICGALINDEZ ARQUITECTOS

Sunday, April 3rd, 2016

Article source: ALRICGALINDEZ ARQUITECTOS

The Landscape

Along the street´s promenade, a construction catalogue is displayed.  Due to this, the reduction of components in the design language, the material as an expression itself, and the presence of the building as a definition in its own: concrete in its purest state with no elements  making reference to the domestic, clearly defining the limit between the public and private space. The front façade is deconstructed by two planes that follow the cul-de-sac´s geometry. Only light can go through them, so the sight stops. In a man created landscape, with no relevant attractiveness, a new landscape is formed in the interior: inner patios with vegetation and natural light define the character of this particular world.

Clay Roof House in Selangor, MALAYSIA by DRTAN LM Architect

Sunday, April 3rd, 2016

Article source: DRTAN LM Architect

The House is located on a small lot in the older suburbs of Petaling Jaya. The owners had purchased an old dilapidated house and wanted to rebuild a new family home. Upon inspection it was discovered that the old house had good quality Indian clay roof tiles that were still robust. And as the property faced west, the clay roof tiles offered a good solution to vertically screen the façade from the morning and afternoon sun.

327 HILL HOUSES in MIKOŁÓW, POLAND by ZALEWSKI ARCHITECTURE GROUP

Friday, April 1st, 2016

Article source: ZALEWSKI ARCHITECTURE GROUP

An intimate and cozy housing estate in Mikołów located on the quiet outskirts of the city. The project includes twelve houses. The spatial arrangement is concentrated along the internal access road, the buildings contrast with the adjacent wall of the forest Due to the size of the plot, its geometric shape and inclination, and location in relation to the world directions the houses are grouped in a system similar to twin buildings – buildings are congruent to each other within the plot – yet because of the plot shape and sun exposure, congruent buildings are not identical.
