Urban approach . The study site is a vacant lot owned by the city of Bessancourt and located a few hundred meters away from the town hall. Its location is in continuity with its historic downtown. The site is marked on the north by the imposing presence of a church. The urban environment of the study site is very mineral, the stone church is massive and reinforces this homogeneity. The building distribution on the site is diffuse and invites us to propose a singular object, an additional object that can join the existing group.
This is a 140 m2 single-family residential Project located in Guayllabamba, Ecuador. The house was conceptualized as a continuation of nature which is why it is embedded in the mountain. This green platform allowed the preservation of a pre-construction view point an dispart of the house features. A perimeterretention wall surrounds the primary structure. Anairchambergivesthermalcomfortinsideandprotectsthehousefromhumidity.
The jury characterizes the winning project as a “architecturally superior solution” to the task at hand.
The tower is shaped like a sharp origami cut, urban sculpture with a significant architectural expression. The white steel tower will stand out as a glowing landmark giving identity to the area and act as a point of reference and meetings in this new part of the city.
Brooklyn Bridge Park awarded the development and re-design of the historic Empire Stores to Midtown Equities, a leading real estate investment and development firm led by Brooklyn native and Chairman Joe Cayre and his two sons Jack and Michael. Midtown Equities selected STUDIO V Architecture, led by Jay Valgora, to create the architectural design for the adaptive re-use and addition to seven Civil War era buildings.
Like the existing school (a modernist volume from the 50’s) embraces the main playground, the extension is positioned in a way that areas of security arise in its inner corners. The new volume integrates the pragmatic logic of the school campus, but not without creating some witty and special interventions adding functional value.
Tirana Flux Exchange [FL-EX] is a proposal for a multimodal transportation hub and new urban landscape model for the Albanian capital positioned to greatly expand the scope and connectivity of the city’s infrastructural networks. FL-EX connects the existing HSH Railway and intercity bus lines with a new airport transit, bike, and pedestrian paths linking the historic urban center to international transportation systems.
This proposal for the Fresh Kills landscape in Staten Island, New York engages visitors and the environment into generating energy using piezoelectricity, which is the conversion of mechanical movement into electricity. Energy from wind, sound vibration, and human movement can collectively be harvested from the movement of natural piezoelectric materials embedded in walkable surfaces and bendable wind-capturing stalks and streamers.
The study starts from the first religious needs and the study of the earliest mosques architecture in Kosovo and in other countries to convey tradition through contemporary architecture. Our objective was to combine in the best mode architecture and religious rules.

Software used: Modeled in Archicad, rendered in Maxwell, and post-produced the renders in Photoshop and Lightroom. Diagrams and other graphics were made in CorelDraw and Illustrator.
For Pharmacophore: Architectural Placebo, a design-dance installation at the Storefront for Art and Architecture in New York in December 2011, Harrison Atelier (HAt) designed a pharmaceutical-cultural landscape which included a network of polyurethane inflatables lodged within a glazed and steel seating structure recalling both pharmaceutical company facade and medical waiting room. The audience sat within this framework, apposed to the back-lit glass and resting against the inflatables.
