Real Properties Offices in Ontario, Canada by dpai architecture inc

Sunday, October 29th, 2017

Article source: dpai architecture inc

This office renovation provides a new home for the property managers of Jackson Square, located in Hamilton, ON. The 40-year-old Jackson Square Mall is an indoor shopping mall and commercial complex located in the city core. Built throughout the 1970’s, Yale Properties have been rebranding the mall to rid it of its outdated image, to better integrate it with the surrounding urban fabric, and give it a new distinct identity. Similarly, the Jackson Square Management’s offices were outdated and incongruent with the mall’s new branding. This project is one of 15 separate construction initiatives that form the overall rejuvenation of this property.

The re-invention of the call centre in Zurich, Switzerland by Evolution Design

Wednesday, October 25th, 2017

Article source: Evolution Design

When you think of a call centre you probably picture a line of people seated in row upon row of desks in a featureless back room. But call centres are changing. In many companies, they are now the first point of contact with customers and are increasingly important in growing new business and ensuring customer satisfaction. High tech and fast paced, with multiple contact points from email and messaging systems to video and voice calls, they also require motivated and well-trained staff. As companies recognise their growing importance, the boiler room approach is disappearing and call centres are beginning to morph into a corporate centrepiece.

BGB GROUP in New York by TPG Architecture

Friday, October 20th, 2017

Article source: TPG Architecture

BGB is an unusual communications agency in that it’s not part of an international conglomerate, it’s privately owned, which means that BGB has a specific – and colorful – personality. TPG Architecture worked closely with Gregory Passaretti and Brendon Phalen, Managing Partners, to bring its new space to life with bright colors, themed conference rooms and other amenities that their youthful workforce would surely appreciate; BGB was founded in 2005 by Passaretti, Phalen and a third partner and it is tightly focused: the firm only works with pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device clients. BGB currently has about 215 employees in the new, two floor 47,000 square foot space.

Post Office Site Conversion in Aalst, Belgium by ABSCIS ARCHITECTEN

Wednesday, October 11th, 2017

Article source: ABSCIS ARCHITECTEN

The former post office site in Aalst was a mixture of industrial buildings of the former ‘Filature du Canal’. The “Filatures& Urban Fabric(s): Masterplan stationsomgeving Aalst” masterplan, designed by the Christian Kieckens Architects, started from a site conversion, whilst keeping the main building of the former mill in the Manchester building along the Vaartstraat. The modifications to this building have been kept to a minimum because of organisational and programmatic interpretation, which corresponds with the scale of the building. The facades have been cleaned and re-pointed and equipped with new outside joinery work after its historical model. The building has been renovated on the inside also, in order for it to comply with current regulations, without however interfering with the warehouse’s authenticity.

Monday, October 9th, 2017

Article source: 2260mm arquitectura

The school is located on square land in the perimeter of the town in an area of potential development.  The building stands alone in a isolated area, limited by an avenue, that is buried beneath the school and fields.

The building design is a comb framework facing onto the future plaza, (for school weekly access and weekend public use) and inside you will find the administration office, kitchen, dining room and gym.  The two perpendicular wings are on one and two floors respectively, where the classrooms are located for kindergarten and primary.
