FB Office in Lisbon, Portugal by WAATAA_we are all together around architecture

Wednesday, February 22nd, 2017

Article source: WAATAA_we are all together around architecture

The office is materialized from the transformation of two independent commercial space in a single physically connected one. Apparently in an unnatural way, the resulting unified space is re-divided in three with distinct identities. Two different work spaces in opposite sides and a transition passage that regulates the hierarchical and functional relation between them.

De Cecco Headquarters in Pescara, Italy by Studio FUKSAS

Tuesday, February 21st, 2017

Article source: Studio FUKSAS

The De Cecco Headquarters are an architectural landmark rising above an area of considerable town development. Two “edifices” linked by staircases and lifts, stand distinctly separate one on top of the other. The elevations of the cube-shaped lower part feature floor-to-ceiling glazing which hollows and lightens the sense of volume.

Tuesday, February 21st, 2017

Article source: Jeanne Dekkers Architectuur

The Tetra building is the new face of the independent Research Institute Deltares. The institute, which focuses on innovative solutions to Delta problems, was housed on an outdated campus designed in the sixties. Jeanne Dekkers Architectuur tried to find a suiting expression to the changing emphasize of the research of Deltares. New insights into the essence of hydraulic engineering, with more emphasis on the “soft side”, the ecology and sustainability, asked for a different architectural language.

Article source: usoarquitectura

Open spaces are the main feature of this project located in Diana Reforma building to encourage communication and team work. In their previous location the areas were divided in too many spaces resulting in the lost of collaboration and synergies.

This architectural project was an interesting challenge because it was developed in two levels with narrow plants combined with large structural elements.
