Pine Tree in Miami, Florida by SAOTA

Tuesday, June 26th, 2018

Article source: SAOTA

Layered views and blurring edges

Open plan living and the ability to live in and through your home has inspired this transparent and easy-living family home.  Set between the Indian Creek Canal and Pine Tree Drive in Miami’s historic Collin’s Waterfront district, the SAOTA-designed space is expansive and fluid – opening up to the activity of the canal when desired, or contained when privacy is needed.

Set on a strongly linear proportioned site, the building is porous, bringing the landscape and water bodies into the interior of the house to create a greater sense of space.

Along the Levee in Turin, Italy by R3ARCHITETTI

Tuesday, June 26th, 2018

Article source: R3ARCHITETTI

This project arises from the client’s need to combine a two-room and a three-room flat into one apartment that would better accommodate the family’s new needs. The project strategy entails a clear division between the living and the sleeping areas and includes, within the distributive scheme, a little study area that would host the administrative headquarters of the family business.

360° View Tower in Nantes, France by LAN Architecture

Tuesday, June 26th, 2018

Article source: LAN Architecture

The 360° View Tower represents the end and the beginning of the Brossette block. Seen from the Loire River, its volume heralds all the elements that will be developed thereafter across the site. Conversely, when viewed from the south, this architecture will complete a succession of spaces and connections that will give the Brossett e city block its character. The net volume imagined in the beginning very quickly had to be enlarged and adjusted. This involved a design that took into account the trees, the perspective from the main axis of the site, the dialog with the system of variable heights of the other buildings and its role as a signal.

CASA HERMI-La casa de las veintiuna ventanas in Sagunto, Spain by Estudio IGLOO

Monday, June 25th, 2018

Article source: Estudio IGLOO

The idea is to transform the archetypal and insubstantial housing scheme with a central patio and two facades into a more open and flexible one, based on the succession of spaces qualified by movement and light.

The house will be inhabited by a single person, therefore, we apply the concept of simultaneity of use and spatial efficiency.

Viale Abruzzi Apartment in Milan, Italy by NOMADE ARCHITETTURA AND INTERIOR DESIGN

Sunday, June 24th, 2018

Renovation of a ’30s apartment for a young couple.

The project is an interpretation in a more fresh and contemporary key of the ’30s mood , which shines through in some obvious traces recovered from the apartment.

The living area is large and combines the kitchen, dining room and living room, a game of light and colors creates a very cool and friendly atmosphere.

The bathrooms (his and hers) are the two faces of a retro-style classic for her, for him more industrial.
