Greco House in Civita di Bagnoregio, Italy by DWA Design Studio

Sunday, May 14th, 2017

Article source: DWA Design Studio

In a place which seems to be out of time, connected to reality by a long bridge like an antique tuff stone island, the project researches a dialogue between traces of history and contemporaneity, with its necessity to regain the bonds with its past.

Thanks to objects which represent the history of Italian design the interiors become a stage for connecting with shapes and materials of the tradition of this region. Discreet presences able to give new meanings to ancient places.

Article source: Artadi Architects

The house is built in a condominium located on the edge of the Paracas Natural Reserve.

This singular fact defines a double relationship between the house and the place it is located: on the one hand, with the condominium itself, is a man-made oasis, with shade, water, greenery; while on the other with the vast desert to which it opens across the borders of the property.
