Crowne Plaza Shenzhen WECC in China by CCD

The first Crowne Plaza flagship hotel in China has been settled in Shenzhen, featuring “WorkLife” rooms. CCD was invited to conceive its interiors. By adopting innovative design approaches and modern style, CCD team interpreted the cutting-edge lifestyle in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. As the first opened hotel within the international 5-star hotel complex in Expo Bay of Shenzhen, the project will set a new benchmark for Crowne Plaza properties in China.

Sushi Club in Cesano Maderno, Italy by Maurizio Lai

The Italian architect Maurizio Lai shapes the spaces of the Asian restaurant Sushi Club in Cesano Maderno, Milan, as a scenographic backdrop within which to enjoy a renewed gastronomic experience. An immersive space, characterized by dark colors, lines of light and a theatrical atmosphere, with a clever use of ceramics to emphasize the lighting project. Research, interior architecture and design to rethink the expressive canons of Asian dining.

Breitenbach Landscape Hotel proposes a holistic and a true ecotourism experience in Alsace, inspired by Scandinavian traditions and building on the region’s culinary, wellness and nature opportunities. Perched on the heights of the Alsatian village of Breitenbach, the landscape hotel 48° Nord reinterprets the traditional Scandinavian hytte, a place of retreat and reconnection with wild nature. At the heart of a protected Natura 2000 site, the project was designed to fit into a preserved setting without ever disturbing it.

Doug Fir in Portland, Oregon by Skylab

Doug Fir is a 25,100-square-foot modern log cabin-inspired bar, restaurant, and music venue, conjuring an idealized vision of Portland’s up-and-coming potential as a global travel destination and cultural hub. The site began as a run-down diner adjacent to a forgotten motor lodge in an underappreciated stretch of East Burnside. The mountain lodge aesthetic was created by expanding the modernist elements of the original motel and recapturing the optimistic experience of mid-century travel and motel culture found in the existing site. Large glulam beams were restored and offset with new modern finishes of stainless steel, glass block, and chrome ceiling panels, now seen in a fresh context.

CASA TALIA Restaurant in Parkview Green, Beijing by CAA architects

It’s located in Parkview Green in the heart of the complex that spans around 100 meters from floor to ceiling. The terrace towers seven meters off the floor and offers a panoramic view of the hustle and bustle of Parkview Green.

In ancient Hebrew, the word “Talia” signifies the dew of the heavens. We decided to integrate a surreal spatial expression with a Mediterranean style of environmental consciousness to its design.

Ibis Styles & Novotel Madrid City Las Ventas in Spain by Stone Designs

For the first time in Spain, Accor Hotels combines three brands in a unique concept in one of its most emblematic hotels in Madrid. Ibis Styles, Novotel and Insólito as the gastronomic brand, create a space that works as a whole, but where the taste of the three different brands can be felt and enjoyed.

The concept created by Stone Designs is inspired by the Spanish comics of the fifties and sixties, the so called “tebeos”. A time, when the American comics where very difficult to find and when a generation of great Spanish illustrators and vignette creators was born.

Filful in Dubai by H2R Design

H2R DESIGN, the renowned design firm with award-winning projects across the Middle East, designed the interiors and exteriors of Filful, a Lebanese street food kiosk in Dubai Marina Mall. With a menu based on the bites that are enjoyed across Beirut’s streets, the 70 square meter kiosk houses a shawarma zone, an Arabic bakery oven, a section for drinks and a kitchen area, all visible for passer-by’s to see, smell, hear and develop cravings for.

The brief for this project included packing a variety of operational functions into a relatively compact space and at the same time, creating a vibrant and loud design, highlighting authentic food, illustrating Beirut’s vibrant street food scene. An area adjacent to Filful’s side wall was also a canvas for creative ideas.

How to make a restaurant with everything revolving around the bar? The owners of Casaamigos had in mind an open-concept restaurant, with the customer as the center of the experience and bringing the feeling of sharing a table in your own home.

Located in the heart of Malaga center, the place is located in one of the most traditional streets of the city. A multipurpose space in which there is room for everything from live music to a sponsored event or a wine tasting, becoming the meeting point for friends and good food, creating a close experience.

Han Shang Lou Restaurant in Guangdong, China by JG PHOENIX

The Hanshanglou project locates at the Phoenix island of Xiangqiao District in Guangdong, Chaozhou, where the island is one of the eight natural landscapes in the ancient Chaozhou city embraced by quiet elegance and pleasant climate. Taking into consideration the natural scenery of the island, the designer successfully integrates the unique food culture of Chaoshan people with spatial designs, creating a dining space with a perfect combination of color, aroma, taste and appearance.

Chunk in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia by H2R Design

H2R DESIGN, was commissioned to design two new locations of a Riyadh favourite; Chunk, the renowned home of delightful pastries and desserts made from scratch in Riyadh Park Mall and in the Diplomatic Quarter. The larger of the two new locations is called Chunk Social as it is a space to leisurely dine and socialize throughout the day, while savouring a variety of dishes. Chunk DQ is on the other hand, is dedicated to take-aways and quick service focusing on cakes, crepes and coffees.
