Located at a busy, pivoting point intersection where retail, commercial and residential properties merge, the design direction for this proposed office building emphasizes a connection to its neighbors—both the businesses and the residential communities—with the goal of integrating these adjacencies visually and figuratively to enhance the urban community. The concept strives to encourage pedestrian activity and communication. A predominance of translucent glass allows natural light inside while providing views to outdoor street-level activity and adding a sense of vibrancy to the community. A connection also exists between the curved front of the building and a new green public park that will face that portion of the structure.
The Longbeach Apartments are located in the centre of Brighton Le Sands in Sydney; a busy cosmopolitan, beachside suburb near the airport. The area has a busy street life filled with cafes and restaurants. The site enjoys panoramic views of the beach which is why the Longbeach Apartments contain 50 residential units with extensive balconies and a ground floor restaurant to enhances the existing cosmopolitan streetscape.

The Eliza Apartments by Tony Owen Partners has just been completed in Sydney. Designed to be Sydney’s most prestigious and progressive address. We sought a building to fit within the historic context of the area yet was an unmistakeably contemporary and challenging design, combining classic 20th century style with parametric design tools to create a sustainable iconic CBD landmark.
In direct proximity to the sweeping landscape of the Rheinaue and with a view of Düsseldorf’s city center, this high rise will shape the silhouette of the left bank of the Rhine, not only in terms of its architecture, but in terms of use as well.
The Jade apartment tower by Tony Owen partners has just been completed in the centre of Sydney’s CBD. The 15-storey tower consists of 27 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, plus double-level penthouses with a vaulted glass ceilings.
Out in the Indian Ocean, protecting the Indonesian coastline from Tsunamis sits the design for an electric artificial reef station. The framework of moveable steel girders and steel reef ball structures is designed in a way to support the growth of natural coral. The design’s section shows the moveable meta balls which are connected to an electrical cable that is attached to floating solar panels on the water surface.
This renovation project, for a small apartment renovation in Manhattan came with numerous challenges. The greatest, perhaps was an extremely limited space. In any small space the walls and furnishings are close together— and, Gage / Clemenceau Architects capitalized on this fact by recognizing that if things are close together –they can be easily touched.
We propose an interior city existing inside a mysterious diamond-like object. The approach stands in opposition to conventional master planning, where a set of reductive instructions such as building use, open space, and setbacks inherently undermine any tendency towards massively dense or monolithic forms. This building is not a map of history, a reified system of flows, or an evolutionary diagram.
