Compared to the original building by Peter Behrens, who in the 1930s created an internationally regarded masterpiece of Modernism with Tabakfabrik Linz, the new development added in the early 1980s was not of the same architectural standard.
The 80s addition was demolished, releasing a site that the Linz authorities thought would be the perfect location for the main building of the Tabakfabrik complex and, based on its key geographical role in the fabric of the city, they decided it would be a historic chance to positively impact the development of the city.

The station is within a narrow levee-shaped green field defined by riverside running path and inner riding path. It is an extension of the access of an existing underground garage staircase. The site is more than two meters above the city roads with the northern riverside slightly higher than the southern side. In the neighborhood there are many old trees, forming a small forest. In order to balance an extremely short project schedule of only one month and our unremitting pursuit forquality and space experience and to give consideration to problems such as space constraint and control of garage roof structural weight, we adopted the steel and wood hybrid system mainly composed of laminated wood to make a rapid construction possible. With a high prefabricated rate, the site is basically adopting dry construction, which has little impact on the environment.
Icon Yunduan Tower is a 192-metre-high hybrid building located in a high-tech zone on the outskirts of the city of Chengdu, China. The aim of the project was to create a landmark visible on entering the city as well as a focal point for the earlier building phases of the area. The project is based on a winning entry in an invited architecture competition in 2009.

HUS NILSSON is a summer house situated at the Norrfjärden bay in the archipelago of north Sweden, on a steep slope between the forest and the sea. Despite being on the east coast, the site is facing west. Buildings in the area are mainly summer houses, scattered along the coast line and accessed from behind by a net of private roads. The bay is lively with people fishing and bathing in the summer, and ice skating in the winter.
Located in the traditional Barcelona Ensanche area, this apartment shared some typical traditional aspects such as a long, narrow and partitioned layout from façade to façade with hydraulic tiles flooring, and wall and ceiling moldings.
The Cricket Pitch House is a free standing dwelling in North Bondi, in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
The client’s brief for a five bedroom house is centred on a garden suitable for backyard cricket for the growing family.
Located in a well-established suburban part of Sydney, the building’s form recalls the pitched roofs of its environs. The roof ridge runs diagonally across building, creating four different facades, each responding to their orientation.

The space was of residential character, rather ruined, however at the request of the client it was turned into a commercial space. Adaptation did not make any significant changes in the layout, except for some improvements, such as the expansion of existing door openings, which allowed the space to be more transparent.
