The main concept of this Project was to create a space that in terms of geometry is minimal and clean, transmitting the sensation of peace and relaxation to the visitor. That’s how Nohara(“field” in Japanese) Terrace was born, surrounded by the landscape design and mixing internal and external areas as one. As it is a 20sqm², this kind of construction would look even bigger this way. The wooden structure is made of pure Brazilian pinus, designed to be easly built or unbuilt at any place, minimizing material waste. The wall coverings and floor are made of concrete material, creating a pleasant contrast of warm and cold textures. The terrace is divided on three parts, the toilet area, a small waiting lounge and a counter for washing hands in the middle. This counter has also a fireplace to heat the ambience, as it is an open area and the Casacor exposition happens during winter season. This layout works well, as the project is located on the final part of the visiting circuit and people are always looking for a functional bathroom or a place to sit and rest for a while.

The restaurant, which extends to nearly 300 square meters, includes a vast dining area, a covered balcony, a kitchen and an area designated to T.A reservations.
The restaurant was planned and designed with various areas which allow its owners to hold private events without closing the whole restaurant.
This 3 bedroom family house is set in 4 acres at the edge of a Lancashire village in the UK. The brief required a house that was laid out over 2 storeys but could accommodate inclusive lifetime homes standards for ground floor living, and whilst open plan in layout could retain the function of accommodating distinct rooms.
In response, a series of interconnecting living spaces link though disappearing corner sliding doors to create an open plan ground floor, that opens on three sides to outdoor garden ‘rooms’ that capture light at different times of the day.A second storey adds a master bedroom suite with framed views of the hills beyond.

Our task was to create an unusual, spectacular and representative office space, taking into account the initial unique character of the site – a large light concrete space with panoramic windows, overlooking the Yauza river. A special detail is the non-standard 8,5-meter high gable ceiling.
The rolling hills in the east of Chongqing have always been a remarkable landscape, but presented serious traffic problems then. The newly constructed roads in the past 20 years successfully negotiated their way through this area and met its residents’ traveling needs.
Road-upgrade was not the only change. What the residents are enjoying now are increasing income, subsidies, tap water, natural gas, and Internet, despite the fact that broadcasting programs introducing welfare policies as well as offering get-rich tips still serve as a vivid reminder of hardships 30 years ago.
This retail store has been designed keeping in mind the aesthetic of the brand. Since the product design is based on a fusion of eastern and western wear giving a vibrant and colorful look, the store has been kept minimal in terms of color so the focus is always on the product rather than the architecture/interior.
All the design elements are in black and white so that the product can be emphasized and displayed in a clutter free manner. The form of the fixtures allow maximum display in minimum space.each fixture was designed keeping in mind the product range of the brand. Eahc fixture is multi functional, can display garments vetically and horizontally.
This wooden-clad annexe, completed September 2017, replaced a dated structure in the grounds of a house that Magnus Strom worked on before he set up his practice. The main house was completed back in 2010, and the owner approached us in 2015 to replace the existing 2-storey annexe. The client wanted a fun and flexible space that could act as a party space and additional accommodation, when needed.
The chapel is built on the campus of ‘CIAAR: Center for Integration and Improvement of Aeronautics, where people from different university backgrounds train to serve as officers, working in their respective professions.
The urbanistic plan for the complex, and its 22 buildings, was done by João Diniz Arquitetura, and the chapel is there as one of the places that can be frequented by the neighboring communities.
Rizoma is a brand whose goal is to produce food in large scale, using systems that regenerate the soil. They wanted to hire a young contemporary architecture office who shared values with the brand and had a design that reflected the company’s philosophy.
The choosing of Edifício Coruja was a first step in the right direction, for it has ample green area and a natural spontaneous integration between the indoors and outdoors. The building features ample windows that offer great visual contact with its surroundings. The interior design was born of an intention to enrich the existing architecture, such as its concrete slab.
Inspired by the trinomial cube, a primary teaching tool in Montessori education, Paul Michael Davis Architects’ (PMDA) designed an addition to a rural campus that merges the school’s pedagogy with the surrounding natural environment.
Each of the twenty-seven blocks in the trinomial cube is represented by a window. The largest window is purposefully located on the north facade of the building because that side receives passive light, and therefore won’t add excessive heat gain or glare to the structure.
