¨Rico Pollo ¨ a place of integration, as a means and excuse; roasted chicken, where the community collides converges, laugh, discover, with the main objective to recover and appropriate the local landscape, linking vernacular architecture with the timelessness of contemporary architecture, re-potentiate valuation based identity that has the city like royalty in their constructive materiality.

“More than 400 Nepalese migrant workers have died on Qatar’s building sites as the Gulf state prepares to host the World Cup in 2022.
The grim statistic comes from the Pravasi Nepali Co-ordination Committee, a respected human rights organisation which compiles lists of the dead using official sources in Doha. It will pile new pressure on the Qatari authorities – and on football’s world governing body, Fifa – to curb a mounting death toll that some are warning could hit 4,000 by the time the 2022 finals take place.15 February
The plot selected for the design of the digital arts museum is in such a spot where the historic buildings of Madrid are dense, access is provided with narrow roads, squares which form urban spaces are rare. The main specialty of Danish culture is HYGGE. To reflect this cultural specialty on the project, spaces where people can spend time together, talk to each other, enjoy the scenery, make sportive activities, make presentations, and watch movies at night, etc. have been adopted. Three different routes have been planned to reach the terraces on which people can socialize. Our proposal is not merely a library to enter but a platform on which urban life keeps continuing thus a building which integrates with the city. As a response to classical repellant cognition of libraries, the building has a potential which can form an urban focus and where people would like to enjoy their day and night.
The design concept was inspired by lofts and aimed to give identity to the brand. The result was a contemporary and modern space. With generous dimensions, the store could be divided into two main sectors with various environments in each: the front with double height ceiling is where are the main products, releases, etc; and the lower ceiling sector is where other products and functional area, such as the cashier, fitting rooms, coffee space, etc.
Although the cellar is surrounded by a vineyard, it is not associated with it. The relationship between the building and the surrounding area is practically nonexistent, largely due to the access road that makes a harsh separation between the building and the vineyard at the arrival zone. On the west part of the building, the separation between the vineyard and the building is less prominent, however a possible symbiosis between the built and the natural is unfulfilled by the strong and enclosed character of the warehouse.
Harvested from plantations that procure income to millions of people, coconut wood is a sustainable product by excellence. The cycle of coconut production, felling/processing and re-plantation, guaranties a sound renewable supply that doesn’t impact the environment. After being used all their life coconuts, the trees become senile around 60 years old. They can then be cut and used for construction, furniture and decoration, which will constitute a windfall profit for the farmer and an excellent material for sustainable Architecture.
