Tuesday, November 17th, 2020

Article source: Bedaux de Brouwer & i29

This generous villa is made for a family of four, allowing for all rooms to be horizontally connected. A sustainable and spacious home that blurs the lines between interior and exterior space. In the center of the living area, a lush green patio is placed and floor to ceiling sliding doors give open views to the surrounding garden and swimming pool. Cabinets, kitchens and furniture are custom designed and made to measure following the architectural layout. All to bring the architecture and interior design into a seamless unity.

House of B in Quezon City, Philippines by Sim Ateliers

Thursday, November 5th, 2020

Article source: Sim Ateliers

Investing in building your residence is a daunting task to have, you have to filter the right architect that will give you the right product to execute. Every house we design has its own soul and story, and that is where we took the project moving forward. Situated along the main artery of a known residential enclave in the heart of metro manila, the site was presented with a challenge:  a huge regulatory building setback eating up the lot and an array of houses that monotonously line up the street.

Chalalai Pool Villa in Pak Chong, Thailand by Juti architects

Wednesday, August 5th, 2020

Article source: Juti architects

Not so far from Pakchong downtown, Nakornrachasima province, in the vacation town embraced by cool and mild weather, there is a project initially designed to be a meeting place for friends or guests from other provinces. At first visit to the location, the architect was impressed by a small hill with a curve of beautiful stream running on the back side with abundant woods on the other side. The only issue is a small busy road in front of the location that may be annoying. The first priority is to create the private area up to the stream side while blocking the annoying sound and view at the road.

Eave House in Singapore by Ming Architects

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2020

Article source: Ming Architects

The design of this detached bungalow in an upscale housing estate in central Singapore was derived from the shape of the triangular plot of land on which it sits. To deal with the challenges of a triangular plot, all the main living, family areas and bedrooms were first carved out as regular shaped rooms, with the main circulation staircase and open gardens left to the residual irregular spaces. In this way, the interior spaces do not suffer from unusable or awkward spaces, which is common for houses on irregular shaped plots.
