In the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Maurizio Martina, the sole commissioner of Expo 2015 Giuseppe Sala, President of CONAF Andrea Sisti, the World President of agronomists Maria Cruz Diaz Alvarez and designer architect Enzo Eusebi, the pavilion of the world agronomists the Global farm 2.0, openend. Fully sustainable and carbon free, the pavillion is entrely built in re used and ecological materials.

The foundation stone laying ceremony for “German House” took place in Ho Chi Minh City. The building will be constructed in accordance with plans by architects von Gerkan, Marg and Partners. The building is designed to represent the Federal Republic of Germany, and in future will accommodate the German Consulate General with the associated visa office, trade associations, cultural organizations and the local offices of German companies. The building combines economical construction, efficient services and ambitious sustainability objectives, thereby representing the high standard of German architecture in Vietnam.

The design of Sejong-daero historic cultural space is about connecting levels between above-ground and underground. The spatial connection below ground carries excavation, which used to recognize as inevitable destruction of historical remains. To construct historic cultural space in the center of the Seoul where it is surrounded by historic places and various landmarks, we take two attitudes below.

Today the City Council of Rotterdam has given go-ahead for the realisation of Collectiegebouw, the public depot building for Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, at the envisioned location in Rotterdam’s Museumpark. With the art depot, which will be open to the public, Rotterdam creates a world premiere. The 14.000m2 depot is planned to open its doors in 2018.

At the heart of one of the busiest zones of Karaj, Valiahdi Commercial Complex is located in a vehicular-pedestrian boulevard. Taking into account the high volume of pedestrians in the area, it was important for the design team to create a multidimensional facade which respects the observer from various angles and creates an intimate connection between the building and the city.

The Nizzamudin residence is planned as an upside-down house with a rooftop garden and pool, moving down to the living and dining areas and further down to the private sleeping spaces. The scheme responds well to a tight location, compact site and exciting client expectations.

Little House with a Big Terrace is a lucid example of having large external space in small urban residence with limited site area of Tokyo. Through the process of designing this house, we tried to prove that having rich private external space was important for making crucial difference in the quality of life inside the house, as well as obtaining various possibilities of external activity.

SCOPE

Designed as a permanent show gallery & tourist information center for China’s largest developer Vanke, MOD’s dramatic design for the TRIPLE V GALLERY has become an icon along the Dong Jiang Bay coastline in Tianjin China. The client’s program called for 3 main spaces: a tourist information center, a show gallery & a lounge for sales discussion. Requiring their own entrances, the tourist center and the show gallery had to be orientated towards separate existing pedestrian pathways and also operated independently.
