Picturesque house with a pond in Saint Petersburg, Russia by RYMAR.studio

Wednesday, May 17th, 2023

Article source: RYMAR.studio

The site is located in the Repino resort area of St. Petersburg. Two-storey house with a total area of 825 m2 is positioned on a picturesque lot of 0.2 hectares with a minimum slope. The architectural style is minimalistic, yet not ascetic. The concept is based on laconic forms, strict silhouette and clear zoning. The project was inspired by the work of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, a leading figure of modernist architect generation of the 20th century. At the heart of his “less is more” philosophy lies the clarity and comprehensibility of the design. Architectural simplicity is expressed in the ephemerality of the structure, free planning and homogeneity of façade materials.

Article source: Brusnika

1A Pervomayskaya is a centrally located quarter in Tyumen, featuring apartments, business premises, and public space. The project is based in the old city centre, where theatres, museums, shopping malls, business centres, and 19th-century historical monuments are in the immediate vicinity. Despite its central location, it was long a dead-end plot, abutting onto a development site and thus breaking up the street.

The Northern Quarter is a new housing estate in the northern-eastern part of    Yekaterinburg. Located in a residential area, the plot neighbours high-rises, private cottages, production facilities and garages.

The master plan from the Dutch LEVS Architecten restores the historical grid of streets, disrupted by industrial and private construction, aligns it and creates a rich environment based on the ‘city within the city’ principle, with variously sized and designed houses, a square, an avenue, numerous shopping facilities and amenities. Wednesday, September 28th, 2022

Article source: Brusnika Design

Brusnika develops and builds new housing estates in cities of Russia. However, it is also committed to conserving architectonic heritage related to its projects. This approach restores the historic background of modern districts and enhances place identity. Riverport, a new housing estate under construction in Tyumen, is a vivid example of this trend. Located in the former river port, which marked the history of Siberian steam navigation in the late 19th century, the estate will comprise a total of 15 houses. Public space development, along with the city waterfront revamp will be further endorsed by a multifunctional environment with shops, shopping malls, offices, coffee houses, and restaurants. The estate is due for completion in 2030.

Mini Turkish Spot bistro in Moscow, Russia by UTRO architectural studio

Monday, June 27th, 2022

Article source: UTRO architectural studio

A small and minimalistic Mini Turkish Spot bistro was opened in Moscow on Tverskaya st. The project was designed by studio UTRO architects. The atmosphere of Turkey with its bright colors, brass lamps and colorful carpets became an inspiration for the new cafe’s interior and exterior design.

The space has an unusual feature: it was used as a through archway for cars some years ago. The area of the archway is about 30 sq. m., while the bistro room occupies only half of the space. And the owners wanted to have a place for a kitchen with a barbecue and a bar counter. Therefore studio UTRO came up with the idea to enlarge the space with a full-length stained glass window, which can be opened and connect the street area with the cafe room.

BONACAPONA Restaurant in Saint-Petersburg, Russia by MODGI design studio

Wednesday, May 18th, 2022

Article source: MODGI design studio

A portion of good rural Italy in Saint-Petersburg. For our studio it was not a pilot project in our cooperation with a network of BONA CAPONA restaurants, being, however, a new look at a concept of the affordable Italian restaurant for every day visits.

What did we think about from the very beginning? Authenticity, removal to a small village in the South of Italy. Therefrom a key conceptual solution – a light, roomy interior, soaked with sun, where every detail is filled with coziness, warmness and family traditions. The basis for planning became a rational zoning principle: the central composition of the hall with a column, decorated with ceramic tiles with some openwork, sofa seat assignment with accent cushions, big floor cachepots with sprawling olive trees.
