Kurve 7 in Bangkok, Thailand by Stu/D/O Architects

Wednesday, July 1st, 2015

Article source: Stu/D/O Architects

Kurve 7 is a community mall located within a dense residential district in the Eastern part of Bangkok, Krungthep Kreetha 7. Using a series of soft curvature strategies to define, frame, lead, and connect, Stu/D/O is able to realize their goal of creating a new neighborhood commercial space that is linked together by a series of open air garden and public space rather than creating a large enclosed community mall.

Zonic Vision Office in Bangkok, Thailand by Stu/D/O Architects

Thursday, June 4th, 2015

Article source: Stu/D/O Architects

With the attempt to reveal the agenda of the building through its skin, Stu/D/O Architects treated the Zonic Vision Office incommensurate to its intelligible names, Zonic and Vision; by transforming this Sound System and GPS provider company to become tangible. In term of Zonic, it gave a clarified definition of audible wave having a speed approaching in the air, meanwhile interpreting the meaning of Vision as the faculty of sight. Architecture, finally, was delivered by conforming sound to vision using the concept of the Equalizer. To reach people perception, Stu/D/O Architects turned this dynamic electronic signal of sound frequency components into architecture by using various intensity of the glazing façade.

Friday, March 20th, 2015

Article source: Tidtang Studio Co.,Ltd.

Rabbit’s Tale, one of the most enthusiastic and fast-growing digital marketing agency based in Bangkok, required tidtang studio to create a unique office that gives a sense of modernity. First, we figured out that the area, which is a former two-stories penthouse, is limited by the spiral stairs setting in the heart of the space. We then decided to use this staircase to centralize the rest limited space altogether.

Divergence House in Bangkok, Thailand by FOUNDRY OF SPACE CO., LTD.

Wednesday, June 25th, 2014

Article source: FOUNDRY OF SPACE CO., LTD.

Situated inside an existing lush garden in the middle of one of Bangkok’s expatriate areas, Divergence House emerges from the intentionof preserving as many existing trees as possible within the site. Therefore the question of this project is not so much about how to design a house being seen explicitly from outside, but rather about how to seamlessly converge the internal spaces with the natural setting in a way that it still captivates a sense of domestic atmosphere.

Klong Toey Community Lantern in Bangkok, Thailand by TYIN tegnestue Architects

Thursday, January 16th, 2014

Article source: TYIN tegnestue Architects

Klong Toey is currently the largest and oldest areas of informal dwellings in Bangkok. More than 140.000 people is estimated to live here, and most are living in sub-standard houses with few or no tenure rights or support from the government.

The area has great social challenges mostly due to the lack of public services like healthcare, affordable education, sanitation and electricity. An extensive drug problem greatly affects the social climate followed by high unemployment rates, violence and crime.
