Being designed jointly by AB Concept, AFSO and CCD(Cheng Chung Design (HK)), GZ Conrad is doomed to be exceptional since the very beginning.

As the designer of the 309 guest rooms, CCD provides a good view of the river which takes in the thousand years’ prosperity of this city and the skyline which witnesses its international development. Moreover, using modern design technique of “merging feeling with scenery”, it “wakes up” the daily Lingnan which is buried deep in history… what the guestroom design of GZ Conrad tells is the humanity landscape of traditional Xiguan residences; it is to show respect to the history of this city.

Friday, November 3rd, 2017

Article source: Xiamen Fancy Design & Decoration Co., Ltd.

Located in a zone of old factories, Yaoyue Restaurant was once an unused terrace. Different from the noisy city outside, the designer wants to integrate nature and industry style together and creates a “floating green island in the city”.

The planar graph of the restaurant looks like the letter L, which enables the users to see different views when they change their steps. The whole space can be divided into three kinds of spaces: the outdoor space, the public space and the compartments.

Life is a kind of experience.

There are two kinds of people who have rich experiences. One prefers addition, this kind of people have childlike innocence and great attachment to objects. Each of their collection stands for a memory and a mood. The more the collection they have, the more fulfilling and productive life they live. The other one prefers subtraction, with the increase of experience, they become more gentle to people, but stricter to themselves. Knowledge, principles and tastes, all have established stable and clear boundaries through the years.
