Brutalist yet Warm in HaSharon, Israel by Apple Architects

Sunday, September 25th, 2022

Article source: Apple Architects

The owners of this 800 sqm plot, hired the services of architect Eyal Apple to design a Modern home. Apple planned exposed open spaces with a large opening leading out to a big garden that can be seen from every corner in the house. Despite the use of concrete throughout the property, the outcome is warm and inviting.

The construction of the property lasted 18 months. The 290 sqm property spreads across two levels with an additional 80 sqm basement level. The property was built as two cubes, the top cube in exposed concrete seems to almost hover above the ground level structure that was cladded in natural black stone. A long and narrow window separates between the levels and a vertical wooden slat panel provides the top-level bedrooms with privacy.

Bar Orian Architects, a leading international architecture firm based in Israel and established by Tal and Gidi Bar Orian in 1990, today officially announces its work for Villa Rothschild, an architectural marvel situated along Tel Aviv’s namesake Rothschild Boulevard.

Villa Rothschild embodies the essence of modern architecture and urban design in Tel Aviv as a perfect example of how the past and present intertwine. The project’s two new buildings were designed as a reflection of one another and a juxtaposition to the Eclectic-era villa that is part of the city’s UNESCO World Heritage Site for Bauhaus architecture-style buildings and sits between the contemporary structures. Together, the three buildings create an additional and contemporary layer in the urban fabric of Tel Aviv, and an example of the architectural development of the city’s new class of residential offerings.

This property, a vibrant and lively home of five, belongs to a hi-tech professional couple and their three grown children. Despite the narrow and relatively small 244 sqm plot, the owners managed to build their dream home, which features stunning swimming pool.

This hi-tech professional couple who loves to entertain hired Architect Shlomit Zeldman, owner of “Shlomit Zeldman Design Studio”, to make their dream home come true. The process took over two years from start to finish, during which time the long and narrow plot was made the most of. According to Zeldman, the process took two and a half years, starting with the planning and permit applications, and ending with the construction itself. “The plans focused on the swimming pool as the property centerpiece, surrounded by seating areas, an outdoor kitchen, and all the mod cons you could think of, to stylishly entertain guests”, she adds.

A House with Thai Resort Vibes in HaSharon, Israel by Halel Architecture and Interior Design

Article source: Halel Architecture and Interior Design

These owners chose this property based on its fantastic potential and carried out an extensive renovation project that transformed it inside and out. The original property was stripped down to its basics and was built back bigger and better. A spacious entertaining space on the ground floor, luxurious bedroom suits, a garden that could compete with any spa resort and a pampering pool, all turn this house into a true gem.

The owners of this property, a couple who love to travel and have an eye for aesthetics, have purchased and renovated several apartments and houses in the past. They chose this property as they valued the potential of its original architecture, and they loved the fact that it had several split levels as opposed to a standard 2-storey property. The house was built in the 1980s as part of a development that characterizes the street, and its biggest advantage was the fact that the ceiling in the main living area could easily be raised to create a large open space.

The new Herzog Fox Neeman offices in Israel by Auerbach Halevy Architects

Monday, September 12th, 2022

Article source: Auerbach Halevy Architects

The notion of “Reconnection” lies at the heart of the newly renovated office tower of Herzog Fox Neeman (HFN), one of the most prestigious law firms in Israel. Auerbach Halevy Architects, appointed as Lead Designers for the renovation, aimed to preserve the firm’s values with a push towards openness and connectedness at the heart of their conceptual thinking.

In 2019, 36 years after the company’s founding, Herzog Fox Neeman, moved from their previous 3000sqm offices in Beit Asia to a beautiful, newly renovated 16-storey office tower in Central Tel Aviv. This created a highly complex challenge for Auerbach Halevy, who were tasked to transition the HFN offices from their previous 2-storey office space to a far more substantial 25,000sqm vertical tower system to house up to 800 employees.

The turquoise pool and the flora fluttering in the urban spirit turn this penthouse in Tel Aviv into a lovely corner overlooking a gray urban landscape, which sings out to the bustling city.

The apartment was designed for a couple with 3 girls and a dog who wanted a house with a pool along with a large outdoor kitchen, a living area, and a jacuzzi for perfect accommodation. Within the home, the privacy of each room alongside discreet and personal bathrooms were a priority.

Architect Raz Melamed took on the task and entered the project when the building was under construction. In collaboration with the building architect, structural changes were made to the columns and walls, including the unique aluminum design and the preparation of the infrastructure for it.
