Jaffa Garden Apartment in Israel by Itai Palti

Sunday, August 16th, 2015

Article source: Itai Palti

The space began as mish-mash of small rooms and corridors – the result of years of informal additions and alterations to the building. Located in Jaffa, an old neighbourhood within Tel Aviv, the apartment was originally created by joining two neighbouring rooms separated by a narrow passage. Palti’s first priority was to check and strengthen the structure, and from there reorganise the spaces.

Article source: BO LANDSCAPE

About two weeks after construction was complete on the Rakafot School, for which we were the landscape architects, and the opening of the school year, we received a surprising phone call: “I wanted your opinion on adding frogs to the school’s ‘Winter Pond.’ It was the agriculture teacher “We received complaints about mosquitoes, and it seems to be the right way to stop them is by using frogs. Besides, it will be wonderful to hear their croaks along with the children’s loud and cheerful voices.” “It’s a great idea,” we hastened to assure her, with a fantastic inner feeling, “yes, that works.”

Friday, January 2nd, 2015

Article source: SO Architecture

HSM family house was built in kibbutz Yehiam, where Oded Rozenkier, one of the owners of SO Architecture grew up as a child.

This is a one of three houses built by SO Architecture side by side in kibbutz Yehiam. The house was built with a limited budget, using simple building materials in its base – concrete, wood and local stone. It’s a house of delicate and well thought architectural touches, unique perspectives, putting to use the calm beauty of the given lot which includes a moderate slope and a view towards a natural oak forest.

Goocha-sea food restaurant in Tel Aviv, Israel by Nir Portal Architects

Wednesday, May 7th, 2014

Article source: Nir Portal Architects

Goocha-sea food restaurant, Tel Aviv, is situated in the heart of very popular hi tech offices area.

In designing it we wanted to create a contrast atmosphere of design, breaking the cold steel and glass reflected from environment.

Along with major effort to bring the spirit of sea to that area of the city, Goocha’s design is an eclectic design, combines styles from traditional classic to new “used, second hand” style.
