It is a house of the white appearance of a large wall blocking the front, the thinness of the component was emphasized.

The site is located in the place with comparatively much traffic surrounded by the residence both sides and right behind.

Since the owner request was a residence with the deck space which can settle down, it was considered as a plan to make a big wall blocking the line of sight on the road side front, mounted a box extending elongated in the east-west direction.

House H in Chiba, Japan by Hiroyuki Shinozaki Architects

Sunday, June 15th, 2014

Article source: Hiroyuki Shinozaki Architects

This is a house for young couple and their child, located in Matsudo, Chiba Prefecture. Matsudo City has a background that has developed as a residential area on the outskirts of Tokyo from the 1960s. This new house was planned rebuilding of the house which was built at that time. We seemed to have been asked to build a house as a new symbol in this place by a young family with the hope of the future. So we proposed the house as living symbol by utilizing actually a big roof and structural parts in their daily life rather than just imaginative symbol.

Higashihayashiguchi Dwelling with shop in Shiga, Japan by ALTS DESIGN OFFICE

Sunday, June 15th, 2014

Article source: ALTS DESIGN OFFICE

This plan is a project of the store combination house which is not seized with the established concept such as “the Japanese food stores such as cafe” in “dwelling, such as a shop”. Because we were the land where a site was built along former Tokaido of the Minakuchi inn which was the 50th post town of fifty-three stages of the Tokaido, the building did it with the placement plan that we prepared in neighboring cityscape and did first floor region with simple space constitution to assume a store, second floor region a house.

Saturday, June 14th, 2014

Article source: I.R.A./International Royal Architecture

We report that our new project “KBJ” has completed.

We renovated a fourth floor of the building near Kokubunji station as a share space.

Because of the good equipment, rather than building everything from nothing, our challenge was to produce diversity of rooms with less operations.

KKZ house in Tokyo, Japan
 by I.R.A./ International Royal Architecture

Friday, June 13th, 2014

Article source: I.R.A./ International Royal Architecture

A two-floor residence with a basement in the cozy town of Setagaya-ku,Tokyo.

It has a half-basement free space which can be a child room in the future, the living, the kitchen, and the dining room in the middle floor, and the private space in the second floor. In spite of its restricted premise, it makes the residence so spacious by connecting these floors with voids which run through the entrance hall and above the kitchen, respectively. Furthermore, the integrated 180mm-thick LVL beams make 6m of a column-less second floor slab possible.
