The offices of the Castilla León Junta in Zamora, Spain by Estudio Arquitectura Campo Baeza

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015

Article source: Estudio Arquitectura Campo Baeza

Facing the cathedral and following the outline of the former convent’s kitchen garden, we erect a strong stone wall box open to the sky. Its walls and floors entirely   made of stone. The very same stone as the Cathedral. A real Hortus Conclusus. In the corner facing the cathedral, a massive stone measuring 250x150x50 cm, a veritable Cornerstone. And chiselled on that stone.

TMOLO House in Asturias, Spain by PYO arquitectos

Tuesday, November 24th, 2015

Article source: PYO arquitectos

Before its conversion, the farmhouse was untouched for over five decades and needed a complete renovation to be adapted for contemporary needs. There were two construction sites: the main house and a stable. The main house was in a very bad condition, overgrown with vegetation, and numerous repairs had to be made to make it livable. The stone and timber structure of the stable was significantly deteriorated and most of the walls had to be replaced.

Z-BALCA HOUSE in Spain by Lagula Arquitectes

Friday, November 20th, 2015

Article source: Lagula Arquitectes

Z-Balca House reconsiders some of Lagula’s formal and material premises previously used in PGAC. The origin of such questioning comes from the PGAC management itself, who was interested in a non-conventional building, and interested in the use of dry construction technologies.

SINGLE FAMILY HOME Casa MaMa in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain by equipo olivares arquitectos

Thursday, November 19th, 2015

Article source: equipo olivares arquitectos

The home starts up from a very steep topography and it´s main picture or idea is inspired by the traditional agriculture terraces. Thereby, we try to imitate the builded volume to a landscape that has been traditionally manipulated to this landscape criteria. So, we project a simple volume organized in steps, where the clean cut solutions formally joint to a discreet palette materials, gives this home the sufficient formal clarity and program.

ONE FAMILY HOUSE IN Cádiz, Spain by alzugaray estudio de arquitectura

Sunday, November 15th, 2015

Article source: alzugaray estudio de arquitectura

The house is situated on the occidental edge of the natural park of the Estrecho, on an abrupt hillside, where the landscape value, its orientation and complicated topography are determining factors. Instead of viewing these factors as potential limits we considered them to be incentives for a better solution for the project, helping reinforce the intrinsic singularity of the emplacement, to which service is set this construction.
