Architecture Studio in Barcelona , Spain by dom arquitectura

Thursday, September 4th, 2014

Article source: dom arquitectura

The place previously used as a store was completely isolated from the outside. The first action we take, is to open the interior space, both the street and the garden outside, so we designed a completely open iron carpentry without studs, continuous glass, providing natural light throughout the space. All the iron is dark graphite gray painted, the same of the interior furnishings. Across the glass surface is placed inside a dark gray screens, to control the space privacy.

Modern house in Vilagarcía de Arousa, Spain by Nan arquitectos

Wednesday, August 13th, 2014

Article source: Nan arquitectos

“I would like a modern and cheap house for lease”

During the first meeting with the sponsor, the requirements for the house were clear, but a “modern house” is not the best way to start with the project definition. We were looking for a low- cost house that could satisfy the requirements from an ephemeral user. For that, we’ve chosen the simplicity of the design, distribution and construction.

G-ROC in Barcelona, Spain by Nook Architects

Tuesday, August 12th, 2014

Article source: Nook Architects

Just when we thought that we had closed a cycle which CASA ROC, TWIN HOUSE, and ROC CUBE, one of the old apartments on the same building became vacant ahead of what was expected, so G-ROC became our fourth intervention on the building.  With three similar interventions finished, it was easy to identify a common denominator in terms of solutions, therefore defining and strengthening the distinguishing traits of this assignment.

Salva46 is our investigation into flexible co-existence.Exploring the nomadic lifestyle of the 21st century. Where movement and fluidity contrast with privacy and stability.

An experiment in shared micro living – two equally balanced spaces pivoted by a central communal area. A play of opposites in a world of conformists.

HOUSE IN ROCAFORT, SPAIN BY Ramon Esteve

Friday, August 8th, 2014

Article source: Ramon Esteve

The beginning condition for this house is born from the trapezoidal shape of the plot, located in a residential area. The vegetation is a dense element of edge. That is the reason why the house is proposed like a volume where focusing views becomes specially important.

Prism House in VALENCIA, SPAIN by Ramon Esteve

Friday, August 1st, 2014

Article source: Ramon Esteve

Settled in a residential area, the plot’s morphology obliged us to focus the building in a single floor same height design. Starting from cube from where it’s subtracted different pieces to shape the spaces from gaps or solids. The cube seems almost blind at its east-west orientation and totally opened to the northwest-south direction.
