Article source: Taller Básico De Arquitectura

Two boxes in the air and a structure as architecture: The technology Park of Vitoria colonizes a little bit of nature. The quality of the site and its steepness make us question where to build. Two boxes made from air rise above the slope. The structure become architecture carries on its shoulders these boxes, showing a new plane. This new place is signed by the novelty of the time of this research center.   We investigate new ways of entering new places. Our place appears on a new level, determined by a four-legged and colorful structure. Two hollow boxes of concrete inhabit this new place on the structure. The whole complex in a permanent flight reveals a new gravity.

Multi-Storey Dwelling Building at Badalona in Spain by Lagula Arquitectes

Friday, May 10th, 2013

Article source: Lagula Arquitectes

A volume created by the urban needs arising from the emergence of a new promenade, the change in section of the road. In a temporary space somewhere between what was and what is wanted. With all this, the building appears as an urban element at city level, responding to more than just the particular needs of the condominium complex.

El Caserón in Zaragoza, Spain by G///bang architectural

Article source: G///bang architectural

The family. – A couple and a seven year old boy plus a dog. Old but with a great retirement. They christened the house “El Caserón”. They lived renting and they decided to pawn their savings in buying a lot that included an insultingly tasteless house, in my opinion. I decided not to demolish the house, with the family’s permission. We tried to avoid mediocrity looking for the best in the worst.

La Jota Cultural Center in Zaragoza, Spain by G///bang architectural

Friday, May 10th, 2013

Article source: G///bang architectural

The task involved the creation of a cultural space for three types of activities: The leisure center for children up to 14 years, the center for cultural activities, and the multipurpose space. The urban space where the cultural center was to be located was a small lot in Plaza Miguel Aso, which according to the urban plan of the city, only allowed construction on the ground floor, with height up to the roof slab level, not exceeding the height of the ground floors of the surrounding buildings.

Montfullà House in Montfullà, Girona, Spain by Hidalgo Hartmann

Friday, May 10th, 2013

Article source: Hidalgo Hartmann

We find ourselves on a horizontal ground, a corner plot raised on two large slopes like a vantage point from which to enjoy superb views towards the agricultural plain that stretches at his feet until reaching Salt and the city of Girona. It is thus an exceptional setting that claims for an intervention that recognizes the attributes of the site and put them in value. We placed a silent, hermetic volume that emerges from the site and adopts the original profile of the hill, like a fortress that visually dominate the landscape. The volume encloses itself from the outside and is protected from the mediocre constructions that surround it by using the broken geometry of two thick walls.

Primary Care Center in L’Aldea, Spain by Josep Camps & Olga Felip

Tuesday, May 7th, 2013

Article source: Josep Camps & Olga Felip

The Rambla Catalunya is the nexus avenue of connection and growth of l’Aldea. Parallel to this avenue is the City Council Street, the station and the various public spaces like the Via Verde hiking trail, that generates a second umbilical cord for the site. Various roads that lead to the Delta cross this axis, like the Ligallo Carvallo Street. The roads, or ligallos, are circulation axes that define a spatial fabric of farms of the Ebro River delta. The site is located at the junction of one of the ligallos road and a new street, product of the current urban planning. At this point, two spatial fabrics are superimposed, the traditional fabric of the rice farms and the fabric of urban abstraction.

Article source: BCQ Arquitectura

This is a friendly school that encourages domestic and family treatment among students and teachers. The horizontal and serene buildings sit naturally in the field. The building aspect of clean form reflects the clarity of their role: they are the platform for teaching.
