Properties at risk of flooding from sewers due to hydraulic overload are recorded on a water company’s DG5 register and this is based on flooding events that have actually occurred. This approach does not identify the total risk as demonstrated by the fact that new properties come on to the register each year or that a property maybe potentially at a greater risk of flooding than currently indicated on the DG5 registers.
