In addition, the company announced the promotion of Alex Kunz to vice president of global services.

Deep Bhattacharya, EVP of Business Development & Strategy
As EVP of Business Development and Strategy, Deep Bhattacharya brings extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions, strategic alliances and value-creating acquisitive growth, including more than sixteen years of leadership experience in the construction and technology industries both as a senior executive and management consultant.
Prior to joining GT, Bhattacharya was VP of Business Development & Technology at Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope™, a supplier of Building Envelope Solutions for commercial construction. In that role, he developed the strategy for a new step-out growth platform in engineered aluminum glazing systems and led an industry roll-up to build the company into a market leader.
Bhattacharya was also an Engagement Manager at international management consulting firm McKinsey & Co. In that role, he advised senior executives of Fortune 500 companies and private equity firms in areas such as strategy, technology and acquisitive growth. Bhattacharya holds a PhD, MS and BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Matt Reid, SVP Marketing
Matt Reid is responsible for GT's overall go-to-market strategy and all aspects of the global marketing efforts. He leads corporate marketing, demand generation, product marketing, and product management functions. Reid offers more than 15 years of experience leading growth in technology companies.
Previously, Reid served as VP of Sales and Marketing at Eucalyptus Systems, an open source private cloud solution, which became the most deployed Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) platform in the world. Earlier in his career, he led product marketing for Citrix Online, where he directed the market launch of the world's fastest growing web conferencing solution, GoToMeeting, and was responsible for the go-to-market strategies of GoToMyPC, GoToAssist, and GoToWebinar.
Reid also held leadership positions in Sales and Marketing for Tidal Software (acquired by Cisco), Platinum Technology (acquired by CA) and EDS (acquired by HP). He holds an MBA from the California State University, Sacramento and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business/Economics and Political Science from U.C. Santa Barbara.
Jim Cheung, VP of Research and Development
As VP of Research and Development, Jim Cheung brings extensive technical experience in computer graphics, web, mobile and data communication. Prior to joining GT, Cheung was a Director of Service Engineering for Yahoo, where he led a global service engineering organization to operate a $2B+ annual Search Advertising business. He also served as VP of Global Delivery Services at MEI, a role in which he directed a development team to deliver mobile sales force automation and trade promotion management solutions targeting the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
Cheung also oversaw strategic product requirement roadmaps, product cost model, and built a 24/7 support team at Neteffect (acquired by Ask Jeeves). He has a Bachelor of Science degree from University of California Los Angeles in Math and Computer Science.
Alex Kunz, VP of Global Services
Alex Kunz joined GT in 2005 and brings more than twelve years of experience on major construction projects. He started GT's European operations in 2007 and served as managing director for Europe until his recent promotion to vice president. Trained as a mechanical engineer at Cornell University with a concentration in building architecture, he has worked in the domains of engineering, fabrication, and installation of facades, built-up roofing systems, and reinforced concrete structures for projects such as San Francisco International airport, Heathrow Terminal 5, the retrofit to London's St. Pancras rail station, industrial factories for Intel and Motorola, and various commercial buildings.
With GT he has worked on cultural, commercial, government and infrastructure projects to improve design and construction performance, and established the European services team in 2007. Areas of expertise include global project delivery systems, advanced design, analysis and collaboration systems, lean construction and production control, and improved integration of design and construction.
