  • HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Feb. 2, 2012 — (PRNewswire) —  Intergraph® today announced that Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) Corporation, a subsidiary of Integrys Energy Group, has selected the Intergraph InService for Mobile Workforce Management solution as an add-on to its existing InService Outage Management and Mobile Dispatch system, in operation since 2006.

Intergraph officials said that WPS was searching for a solution to speed response time during emergencies, streamline coordination of work crews and heighten employee and customer safety.  WPS determined a mobile workforce system would be the best solution to achieve these goals and selected Intergraph's InService MWFM solution as its mobile technology for future operations. WPS felt that the advantages of Intergraph's proven relationship and support, the software's functional and technical capabilities, and the total cost to implement made Intergraph a good choice to provide the mobile technology for their future operations.

Intergraph expects that its InService MWFM solution will significantly enhance WPS's emergency response by decreasing wait time for work crews using direct location dispatching. This will create more efficient storm management and promote better customer service through faster response and restoration times.

"Integrys' purchase of Intergraph's InService solution for Wisconsin Public Service firmly establishes Intergraph as a trusted supplier of critical operations technology for Integrys Energy Group," says Hank Dipietro, Vice President and General Manager, Utilities & Communications, Intergraph Corporation. "This working relationship between Integrys and Intergraph further expands Intergraph's footprint within mobile workforce technology nationwide."

WPS is a regulated electric and gas distribution company founded more than 125 years ago in Wisconsin that serves 500,000 electric customers and 317,000 natural gas customers in northeast and central Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula.  More than 20 district offices will depend on Intergraph's InService solution for operational support.
