RoboBAT Integrates ROBOT Millennium with Autodesk Revit Structure Software

WALTHAM, Mass.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Aug. 4, 2005— ROBOT Millennium, the advanced structural analysis tool from ISS/RoboBAT, has been integrated with the new Autodesk(R) Revit(R) Structure software. The combination of ROBOT Millennium and Revit Structure offers an integrated system for structural analysis and design, creating a seamless process from initial drawing through to analysis and final documentation.

The bidirectional integration of ROBOT Millennium enables Revit Structure users to carry out both regular and advanced analysis on any kind of building structure using the same model throughout the design and analysis process. This approach helps to maintain the integrity of the model, improve accuracy and efficiency, and is much less prone to errors caused by transferring between different modeling and analysis systems.

Autodesk launched Revit Structure to advance the concept of building information modeling (BIM) into the structural engineering industry. BIM is a building design and documentation methodology that involves the creation of a single, reliable, coordinated and consistent digital representation of a structure, which can be analyzed, altered and captured for documentation. The integration of Revit Structure with ROBOT Millennium, enabling users to analyze and code check as a seamless part of the modeling process, is a crucial part of BIM for structural engineering.

ROBOT Millennium is currently used by more than 8,000 structural engineers worldwide, who have chosen the system for its power and reliability as well as its ease of use. The software offers a complete structural analysis solution, featuring frame analysis, FEM plates, shells and solid elements, together with code checks, dynamic analysis, cables and both geometric and nonlinear analysis plus many other advanced features. The straightforward GUI allows the user to analyze complex structures quickly and accurately.
