  • Global consulting firm brings deep domain expertise in capital program management technology services to AEC, commercial, and public sector clients

FOLSOM, Calif. (September 21, 2010) - Meridian Systems, the Plan-Build-Operate technology solutions leader for project-based organizations, announced today a new Consulting Partner agreement with Critigen, a global leader in technology consulting and IT outsourcing. Critigen draws upon its strong expertise and heritage as the former Enterprise Management Solutions (EMS) division of CH2M HILL, a global consulting, design, construction, and operations firm. Critigen provides information technology solutions for large-scale program management and engineering projects for various clients in multiple vertical markets, including heavy engineering, government, transportation, and healthcare.

As a full-service consulting partner concentrating on Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) firms, commercial facility owners, and public agencies, Critigen is building a Meridian professional services practice for both PrologĀ® and ProlianceĀ® software solutions. Critigen provides domain experience in capital projects and facilities delivery and operations, and technology expertise in delivering information management systems across the entire facilities lifecycle. Additionally, Critigen has deep Microsoft SharePoint integration experience and will be able to offer Meridian customers customized project management portals as well as integrations to other best of breed systems.

"The capital facilities industry is demanding smart, integrated, technology solutions that balance the business drivers of cost control, competitiveness, and positioning for growth," said Stan Sturges, Critigen's vice president of collaboration solutions. "Our customers value our seasoned approach to planning and implementing a technology plan that strikes this optimum balance."

Critigen works with customers to develop and implement technology solution roadmaps based on business objectives such as lowering costs, improving facility time to market, and reducing project risk over the facility lifecycle. Some of Critigen's customers leveraging their project management expertise include Aurora, Colorado Water Department, Virginia Megaprojects, and Parkland Hospital.

Critigen roadmaps often include a collaboration technology platform as the foundation, with additional integrations to best-of-breed applications for program and project portfolio management, enterprise content management, construction and contract management, Building Information Modeling (BIM) collaboration, and facility and asset management.

"The Critigen team has deep domain knowledge of the capital facility life cycle that is important to our customers, as well as information technologists with deep experience in best-of-breed commercial software applications like Meridian Systems," said Elizabeth Dodson, director of business development for Meridian Systems. "Critigen's global staff of over 700 engineers, project controls specialists, and technologists operate around the world in over 60 offices, allowing them to be responsive and accountable to our clients in various geographies."
