DARIEN, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 16, 2002-- Penton Media (NYSE: PME, http://www.penton.com) today announced that Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, will deliver the opening keynote address at the launch of its NanoBusiness Spring 2002 conference, to be held at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City from May 19 - 21.
In addition to his keynote address on Monday, May 20th at 10 am, Speaker Gingrich will also participate in a highly-charged roundtable discussion with a select gathering of CEOs in attendance at the event.
As the honorary chairman of the NanoBusiness Alliance (Penton Media's partner in producing NanoBusiness Spring), Newt Gringrich has been Washington, D.C's most vocal supporter of nanotechnology, and has recommended that the National Science Foundation triple their $4.5 billion annual budget to support education and research.
