ArchonCAD Releases VectorWorks 3D Modeling Tutorial 12.5 Training Manual

Columbia, Maryland (February 5, 2007)--Nemetschek North America announced today that a new training manual for VectorWorks 12.5 is available: VectorWorks 3D Modeling Tutorial. New Zealand architect and third-party VectorWorks author Jonathan Pickup has designed this manual primarily for architects and landscape architects who would like to learn how to use the advanced 3D modeling capabilities within VectorWorks 12.5.

VectorWorks 3D Modeling Tutorial 12.5 teaches users how to use a variety of the powerful 3D tools within the program. The manual instructs users how to create and edit extrusions and multiple extrusions; create and edit sweeps, solid models, NURBS curves, and 3D primitives; create loft and drape surfaces; and how to use working planes. The manual starts by explaining simple 3D modeling concepts and then addresses advanced 3D concepts. Users will complete exercises along the way to help master each concept before moving on to a sample project that requires users to synthesize several concepts.

"While I have been using VectorWorks' 2D capabilities for some time, I am just beginning to learn its 3D capabilities, and the VectorWorks 3D Modeling Tutorial has made what I thought was going to be a painful experience a joyful one," says Graham Shrewsbury, principal of Shrewsbury Engineering Inc. "I found the manual easy to follow and had no problem picking up most of the concepts."
