Computer Guidance Corporation Releases Web Project Management Application for Commercial Construction

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—June 13, 2007— Computer Guidance Corporation, the leading developer of financial and project management software solutions for the commercial construction industry, announced the next evolution of Project Collaborator at the 25th Annual Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) Conference held May 19-22, 2007. Representatives from the Computer Guidance executive team were on hand at the exhibit and hospitality suite to showcase the benefits of Project Collaborator.

Project Collaborator gives construction firms a single source for managing construction projects as a web accessible application within the Computer Guidance eCMS financial management system. The financial staff and project managers can now collaborate in real-time with access and responses to project information anytime, anywhere. Project managers are now able to review job costs, handle owner and subcontractor billings, review and approve invoices, update forecasts, issue change orders, issue POs, receive materials and handle other functions, which immediately update job cost and accounting information. Since Project Collaborator is an application within the accounting system, there is no need to reenter and reconcile the information.

Project Collaborator improves communication by connecting extended project teams including owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, etc. Submittals, RFI's, transmittals, punch lists, daily reports, various logs, meeting minutes, issues journals, dunning letters, hot lists, and other communication documents are all handled seamlessly through the system, eliminating much of the manual effort required in traditional project management functions.

"Seeing the Project Collaborator demonstration was exciting for me because its functionality exceeded all my expectations! Project Collaborator will make a substantial impact to the efficiency of our organization; the days of tedious double-entry between our current project management system and eCMS will soon be gone. We can't wait!" stated current Computer Guidance customer Michael DeMarie, Vice President & Sr. Project Manager, HBI Construction, Newport Beach, CA.

"Project Collaborator demonstrations wowed everyone. Never has there been such a robust and easy way to manage projects from a single and consolidated application. CFOs and Project Managers alike were impressed with the simplicity to roll out to staff via web browser," said Roger Kirk, President/CEO, Computer Guidance Corporation.

"Computer Guidance was pleased to sponsor the CFMA show again this year. We value the relationship we have with CFMA and we continually look for ways to support them and participate in their events. Attendees of the CFMA Annual Conference are truly the financial leaders in the construction industry," added Kirk.

"As CFMA's largest chapter and one of its most successful, the Valley of the Sun chapter is thrilled to be the 'Host Chapter' for this year's conference. CFMA extends our utmost gratitude to Computer Guidance for their continued sponsorship and participation," stated Marj Weber, Chair of the Valley of the Sun Chapter Conference Planning Committee and CFO of Irontree Construction in Mesa, AZ.

The eCMS suite combines 30 applications that help businesses manage accounting, projects, personnel, operations and equipment. The suite includes a comprehensive set of specialty applications and integrated productivity tools such as document imaging, electronic workflow, and electronic forms management.

Computer Guidance delivers the accounting and project management software of choice for 20% of the ENR Top 400 contractors - and is consistently voted one of the leading job costing and accounting software applications by the highly respected CFMA IT survey. Computer Guidance's Job Cost, Accounting and Payroll software is currently the number one solution among General Contractor revenue segments of 100 million to 250 million dollars and 250 million dollars and greater, according to the 2006 CFMA Information Technology Survey.
