The Cram Group now offers The OBA Store

NEW YORK, NY. (November 13, 2009) - The Cram Group, an authorized Meridian Business System Integrator, is now offering The OBA Store. The OBA Store is an online source for Microsoft Office Business Applications (OBAs) that work with Prolog® software, the industry standard for successful construction project delivery. The OBA Store is now available on The Cram Group Web site by visiting www.thecramgroup.com/TheOBAStore/Overview.

"The OBA Store uniquely offers a one-stop-shop for project-based organizations looking to manage their project data in minutes rather than hours," said Wes Smith, Principal, The Cram Group. "Prolog users can leverage our OBAs to work online or offline to streamline daily construction processes, automate data importing and exporting and reduce duplicate data entry."

Utilizing Web services, OBAs are built on the Microsoft Office Business Application Platform, and allow organizations to capture the critical project information that lives in users' spreadsheets and other Microsoft Office applications. OBAs can extend business applications, such as Prolog, to end users' familiar desktop productivity applications, allowing them to work the way they want, while allowing organizations to centrally store and manage project data in one system of record.

OBAs allow bi-directional data exchange between Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint and Prolog Manager. OBAs can be tailored to various project team roles or to automate specific work tasks. Additionally, OBAs offer offline capabilities, so project team members can collaborate even in a disconnected environment.

"The Cram Group understands the benefits that OBAs provide to Prolog users who want to further improve their construction project management best practices,' said Bruno Berti, senior director of product management for Meridian. "Enabling OBAs is a key business value of our Web services platform strategy; we applaud The Cram Group's efforts to provide this library for Prolog customers."

Backed by The Cram Group's combined experience in construction and technology, the OBA Store offers OBAs for Prolog features including RFIs, Submittals, Punch Lists and Company Setup. The OBA Store provides access to this wide selection of OBAs from one location with a free trial to any user. Subscription-based accounts range from Free, limited accounts to Premium, fee-based accounts. Other pricing options include "Pay per OBA," "Customization of Existing OBA," and more.
