LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 13, 2001--Penton Media, Inc. (NYSE: PME - news), a leading, global business-to-business media company, said today that it's Penton Media Europe business in London and Reed Exhibitions UK Ltd have struck a strategic deal to bring together their manufacturing events (Computers in Manufacturing, Inspex, Tooling and Manufacturing Week) at the NEC in Birmingham, England in 2002.
The combined event will be jointly owned by Penton and Reed and managed by Penton Media Europe.
The events will be run under the newly created brand Total Engineering and Manufacturing (TEAM). It will include eight sub-shows: Computers in Manufacturing, Tooling, Factory Automation (new), Drives Motors and Controls, Design Engineering Show, Inspex, Factory Services (new) and Contract Manufacturing (new) -- forming an end-to-end manufacturing event to serve the industry's needs.
