Highly skilled BIM professional promoted to project manager
BOSTON – September 23, 2016 – Kaplan Construction, a WBE general contractor and construction management firm providing comprehensive building programs across Greater Boston, announced today that Sean Lepore has been promoted to project manager.
“Sean has achieved this promotion by not only being highly qualified with a breadth of experience, but also because he maintains excellent relationships with clients,” said Nate Peck, president of Kaplan Construction. “Sean gives his full attention to each and every detail, whether working on a high profile project or a smaller renovation. His knowledge of the field and his talent with Building Information Modeling (BIM) are a real asset to Kaplan.”
Sean’s portfolio as a Kaplan superintendent includes renovations and restoration of Congregation Kehillath Israel; site improvements for athenahealth’s master plan expansion; fit-outs for Bright Horizons, Tufts Medical Center, and Genzyme Corporation; and the historic rehab and adaptive reuse of 2101 Washington Street, soon home to 30 apartment units with ground floor retail space. He is currently the project manager for the 73,000 sf interior renovation for 40 Berkeley, a popular hotel/hostel hybrid in Boston’s historic South End.
Previously a superintendent with Turner Construction, Sean spearheaded mechanical coordination efforts for the ground-up construction of a 43,000 SF museum for the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD); the construction of both a mechanical penthouse and gallery space for the Peabody Essex Museum (PEM); and the Allston expansion project for Harvard University. He is also well-versed in analyzing site logistics for postage stamp-size sites and the impact to their surroundings.
