Illinois Tollway Selects Meridian Systems for Managing Capital Project Lifecycles
Proliance On Demand software optimizes project lifecycles for $5.3B Congestion-Relief Program
FOLSOM, Calif. (June 26, 2006) – Meridian Systems, a provider of enterprise project management software for optimizing capital projects, programs and facilities, announced today that the Illinois Tollway has selected Proliance software to manage capital projects as part of its Congestion-Relief Program (CRP).
The Illinois Tollway’s $5.3 billion Congestion-Relief Program, Open Roads for a Faster Future, will reduce travel times by rebuilding/restoring nearly all of the 274-mile system, adding lanes to many miles of existing roads, converting 20 mainline toll plazas to barrier-free Open Road Tolling, and extending I-355 south to I-80 in Will County.
Proliance allows organizations to reduce capital project costs, shorten cycle times, and to improve facility maintenance by optimizing the Plan-Build-Operate lifecycle for capital projects, programs and facilities. The Tollway selected Proliance because of its unique ability to manage complete capital project lifecycles in one enterprise software solution.
Kristine Fallon Associates (KFA) will lead the Proliance solution implementation efforts with assistance from HNTB, the CRP program manager, and Meridian Systems. KFA has a solid reputation in the Midwest for implementing technology to enhance the management of capital programs.
This software agreement provides Proliance to 1,000 users through the Meridian On Demand hosted environment. Deploying applications in a hosted environment provides many benefits including: faster application deployment; lower initial investment; application scalability as business demands increase; and the ability to focus on your core business instead of ramping up computing and IT resources.
Proliance combines project and portfolio management functionality, facilities management, business process management and business analytics to create one comprehensive system of record for tracking the performance of real estate, construction and facilities portfolios.
