San Antonio, TX, USA (May 3, 2007) – Today, Trelligence Inc. announced the new release 5.0 of Trelligence Affinity software for architectural programming and schematic design at the 2007 AIA National Convention and Design Expo. This major new release adds integration with the Autodesk® Revit® 9.1 design tool, enhances integration with Graphisoft® Archicad® 9 and 10, and delivers new functionality that continues to extend the benefits of BIM to the pre-design phase of complex building projects. Affinity is a unique software solution that focuses on streamlining the planning and conceptual design processes, and provides real time decision analysis that enables critical design decisions to be made earlier. The result is faster planning, less costly rework, and better design/build team collaboration.
“Trelligence Affinity allowed us to test three conceptual designs for the 4th Street Transit Center in the matter of a few days. This was pretty amazing as we were first time users for this software”, said Tom Brooks-Pilling, Architecture Practice Leader for Parsons Brinckerhoff, one of the world's leading planning, engineering, program and construction management, and operations & maintenance firms. “Thanks to the helpful introduction via webcast, excellent documentation and always available telephone support we were able to get up and running in a matter of hours. Our client was impressed with the detailed output that not only includes colorful conceptual plans, but also detailed space assignment and square foot cost reporting. With the help of Trelligence Affinity we were able to reach resolution on a complex problem quickly and efficiently.”
The new release is available free-of-charge to the existing Trelligence customer base that includes small and large architecture firms in the US, Canada and most recently, Australia.
“Over the last year we have made it our top priority to listen to our customers and beta program participants, to understand their goals, issues and needs in the critical pre-design stages of projects”, said Larry Ciscon, CEO of Trelligence. “This very valuable feedback has been the basis for this new release, which we believe incorporates many new capabilities not generally available to the market until now. In addition to addressing many of the complex planning needs for healthcare, education and commercial projects, Affinity now includes capabilities that meet unique needs in master planning and corporate interiors projects as well.”
Key highlights of the new release of Affinity include:
Enhanced space planning functionality, including support for multi-phased programs, multiple buildings and department- level planning
New bi-directional integration with Autodesk Revit
Improved schematic design object manipulation and visualization
New Template Editor desktop and toolkit
“The real value of Affinity to us at Linbeck is our ability to use its programming and modeling capabilities as a basis for early cost analysis,” said Melvin L. Hildebrandt, Vice Chairman and former CEO, Linbeck Group, L.P. “Having this information early in the process is critical in validating clients’ plans and helping them to meet their goals. We are fully committed to the Trelligence solution and see tremendous potential for Affinity to enable real collaboration amongst all members of a project’s design and construction team – bringing efficiencies, speed and cost savings to us, to the architects and project owners.”
Trelligence Affinity, Affinity for Archicad and Affinity for Revit are available as stand-alone desktop software solutions for Windows. In addition to bi-directional integration with Graphisoft Archicad and Autodesk Revit, Affinity projects also can be imported into other CAD and estimating tools. Affinity solutions are available on an annual subscription basis per named user and are priced at $900 for Affinity, or at $1,125 for Affinity for Archicad or Affinity for Revit. The solutions are available both through resellers and directly from Trelligence.
