Vectorworks eDispatch June 2009

eDispatch June 2009, Vol 87

You may not know this: but, by geography and market diversity, Vectorworks is one of the most broadly sold CAD systems in the world.

And, while there is much buzz about the internet bringing people closer together, nothing replaces an old-fashioned face-to-face meeting. Earlier this month, Vectorworks distributors from around the world came to Baltimore, Md. We spent three days reviewing the state of Vectorworks and the industries in which our customers work. Both serious presentations and lighter evening entertainment (including a fun Orioles baseball game at Camden Yards) were on the agenda.

Our global distributors are deeply involved with their customers’ success, often localizing the Vectorworks software and providing detailed technical support in their native language. So when we all get together to talk about strategy, direction, the product and the company, an impressive amount of information is exchanged.

A palpable sense of optimism pervaded the meeting this year. In contrast to gathering storm clouds we saw last June, there was a shared sense that the worst has passed and customers in many markets have a positive outlook for their businesses. Success stories were shared and tips on how to use Vectorworks in new ways were exchanged. With a loyal user base, and unique approach to design and a flexible upgrade policy, Vectorworks looks poised for even more success.

Most of all we continued to brainstorm on how to connect our distributors and users globally. We want to share more stories of your successes. Not only will it let you see how you can get more from Vectorworks yourself, but this approach will lead more of your colleagues to conclude, as you have, that Vectorworks is a superior solution.
