America's Favorite Architecture layer features the American public's favorite structures, as selected by a Harris Interactive poll announced earlier this year. Google Earth users can now see many newly-created 3-D models of the ballparks, bridges, buildings and memorials that characterize architecture for Americans and comment on the poll results. By clicking on the America's Favorite Architecture layer, users can view texturized 3-D images of the nation's most popular landmarks created with Google SketchUp, right down to the trees lining the sidewalks and flags flanking the entrances.
Autodesk, Inc. announced that it ranked second among the top ten companies in the computer software industry on FORTUNE's 2007 list of "America's Most Admired Companies." The list and related stories appeared in the March 19 issue of FORTUNE magazine and are currently available online at FORTUNE Other companies in the top ten within the computer software industry include Intuit, Adobe, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Symantec, SAP and Oracle.

Nemetschek North America announced that beta versions of its upcoming IFC v.2x3 plug-ins and a new GSA-compliant Space object are now available for download and testing by VectorWorks Architect users.
The IFC plug-ins allow VectorWorks Architect users to export VectorWorks files as IFC files, as well as import IFC files from other IFC-compatible Building Information Modeling (BIM) programs. This data can then be used throughout a construction project’s life cycle, for applications that include costing and quantity surveying, energy analysis, structural design and detailing, facility management and space analysis, and building performance modeling, such as code compliance and interference checking.
Team CSoft announces the release of WiseImage X8 with full support for all versions of AutoCAD 2008. WiseImage X8 for AutoCAD is based on market-proven WiseImage X for AutoCAD with added AutoCAD 2008 compatibility. WiseImage for AutoCAD solves the problem of incorporating scanned raster data into CAD environment. Trimble announced the release of Trimble(R) Construction Manager version 1.9, a fully integrated solution for managing construction equipment and operations. Trimble Construction Manager version 1.9 introduces charts and a dashboard view that allows users to visualize critical operational information for their construction fleet.
The Trimble Construction Manager's new functionality enables simple identification of underutilized equipment or bottlenecks in construction operations. Some examples include: bar charts displaying equipment utilization (actual hours worked compared to expected hours), work time compared to idle time, and a timeline of equipment activity throughout the day.
Informative Graphics Corporation (IGC), a leader in content visualization, secure publishing and collaboration technology, announced the release of its Redact-It(TM) Enterprise Server software. Redact-It makes it easy to remove privacy information like social security numbers, names, phone numbers and other sensitive data before making documents available to a wider audience.
Redact-It is a highly scalable redaction server for bulk processing of document and image files on-demand as part of a workflow process, by folder monitoring or as a batch process. A client application is provided for batch and folder monitoring processing. On-demand and ECM-based integrations are performed via URL scripting as a web-like service.
