New Service Release for Facility Management Software Allplan 2013-1 Allfa

Germany/Munich, May 29, 2013 – The service release Allplan 2013-1 Allfa is now available for download on the international customer portal Allplan Connect www.allplan-connect.com. New features include the generation and editing of attributes in Allplan Allfa Web, full representation of the GEFMA 198 – “Documentation in Facility Management” guidelines, and various new features in the GFX viewer, all of which will make the day-to-day work of Facility Managers with CAFM software Allplan Allfa more efficient.

As Florian Bernatzky, Product Manager Facility Management Solutions at Nemetschek Allplan explains: “Allplan Allfa is becoming an increasingly popular documentation tool for those areas for which operators are responsible. This development is due mainly to the flexibility and the simple and intuitive user guidance of Allfa Web. The Service Release Allplan 2013-1 Allfa represents a further step in this direction.”

Generation and editing of attributes
For the first time it is now possible to create and edit attributes in Allplan Allfa Web. An attribute in Allfa Web can be assigned to every object within the system and is used for a more detailed description of this object in the form of text, a whole number, real number, date, or URL. The same applies to the description types (article groups) in Allplan Allfa Web: A description type is equivalent to a copy template of multiple combined attributes. In a single step, multiple attributes can be positioned on an object.

GEFMA 198 – “Documentation in Facility Management”
Full coverage of the document guideline “GEFMA 198 – Documentation in Facility Management” is now possible in Allplan Allfa, enabling users to check their building documentation for completeness and to identify and resolve any gaps in documentation.

GFX Viewer
A wide range of new functions have been added to the GFX Viewer, which is new to version Allplan 2013 Allfa. These include the editing of offset coordinates in the GFX Viewer and PDF export. CAD data created in a different coordinates system can now be easily converted, thereby avoiding offset of coordinates.
An especially helpful feature when using tablet PCs is the placing and rotation of labels in the GFX viewer. Labels can be freely positioned and move automatically when the PC is rotated.

Other powerful new features
During visualization of a history, periods with reference to context can be displayed in the system, like timeline links using a timeline in Allplan Allfa Web. Another new feature is the option to display the time axis in Allplan Allfa Web and to move the entire system or parts of it into different time axes, e.g. for research, benchmarks, or future planning. Cost centers can also now be generated and edited in Allplan Allfa Web; cost centers are assigned to organizational units and these in turn to an area, enabling costs to be settled according to usage.
