The acquisition of C/SSI extends Deltek's lead in the enterprise project management sector by incorporating powerful EVM analytics delivered by C/SSI's wInsight(TM) software with Deltek's own advanced EVM engine, Deltek Cobra(TM) -- creating the most complete industry-leading EVM solution on the market. C/SSI wInsight is regarded as the established standard for government agencies in analyzing EVM data from federal contractors, while Cobra is the leading system for managing project costs, measuring earned value, and analyzing budgets, actuals and forecasts.
wInsight enables government contractors and agencies to increase their effectiveness in meeting mandated federal project portfolio management (PPM) and EVM requirements, while providing superior integration between wInsight and Cobra. C/SSI customers include virtually every aerospace and defense contractor, including market leaders such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon. The acquisition will add more than 500 customers to Deltek's existing base of 11,000 clients, including several federal agencies.

The acquisition will enhance existing integration between C/SSI's solutions, Deltek Cobra and Deltek Open Plan. Integration and support between C/SSI's solutions and other project management tools will also continue to be a top priority.

C/SSI is Deltek's third acquisition in the past nine months. Acquiring Welcom and Wind2 further strengthened Deltek's position in the professional services and government enterprise software markets, adding more than 3,000 customers.
Deltek will acquire C/SSI wholly, including the company's entire employee base and three satellite locations outside Los Angeles, CA; in Tacoma, WA; and in Destin, FL. There are no planned staff reductions as a result of the acquisition.
