HP recently made an exciting announcement about their HP ZBook Mobile Workstation and Z Display News. HP ZBook G4 Mobile Workstations meet the need for business high quality workstations that are built to last. As color quality and high resolution have become extremely important to purchasers of mobile workstations in the AEC market, the Z DreamColor Displays are designed to address requirements of these high-end users. These same users are said to spend more on a display that also increases efficiency in their employees.
Because of the challenges of today, with hackers targeting mobile devices, HP has created the third generation of their Sure Start, HP Sure Start GEN3, a self-healing BIOS with run-time intrusion detection. It automatically detects change when corrupted or tampered with and notifies users while the OS is running and restores BIOS to custom state. HP DreamColor displays are gold standard for accuracy, in enhancing their design and creation experience. 80% of Academy Award Nominees for Visual Effects used an HP DreamColor display. Sara Burton, director for ZBook mobile workstations and global product manager, spoke about the ZBook family of mobile workstations in a recent webinar. She was joined by Josh Peterson, vice president, product manager Workstations, and Charlie Shilling, DreamColor global product manager. The ZBook 14u/15u G4 is thin (14u: 22.1 mm Ultrabook; 15u 19.9 Ultrabook) and light with value performance, and includes a 51Whr battery + HP Fast Charge, is encrypted, with HP SureStart Gen3 BIOS-level protection. A portable performance mobile workstation, the HP ZBook 15 G4 has the HP SureStart Gen 3 BIOS-level protection, 2400 MHz memory, and NVIDIA or AMD next gen graphics. 26 mm thin and weighing just 5.8 pounds, this model has up to 3 TB of storage. The HP ZBook 17 G4, like the ZBook 15, offers 0-50% charge in 30 minutes, giving over 12 hours’ battery life. It has tool-less access, multi-task up to 64 GB of ECC or non-ECC memory, and next gen graphics from NVIDIA or AMD, with Z Turbo drives encryptable. It is 33 mm thin and weights 6.9 pounds. Another winner and very popular machine is the HP ZBook Studio G4 Mobile Workstation with a larger battery, 4K color gamut, with 100% color accuracy. The HP ZBook Studio G4 has a 92 Whr battery + HP Fast Charge, award-winning color critical display (HP DreamColor) and 7th generation Intel processing, plus ultra-thin 18 mm design. It has the following features:
The HP DreamColor Z31x Studio Display has the following features:
The HP DreamColor Z24x G2 Display includes the following features:
The feature, “integrated calibration,” is “fully automated color calibration that can even be scheduled to run off hours so you don’t have to interrupt workflows.
