Trimble Enters into Reseller Agreement with Sensera to Extend Jobsite Management Portfolio

Trimble and its BuildingPoint channel are adding to its jobsite management portfolio that includes Trimble CrewSight, Sensera’s cutting-edge jobsite intelligence solutions including solar/wireless cameras and Sensera SiteCloud™ service Trimble CrewSight combines a jobsite access control system with a worker database for increased site security, worker communications, and jobsite management.

According to company materials, working with Trimble and its BuildingPoint channel provides the potential for Sensera to increase its geographic reach in terms of sales and marketing and to make it easier for general contractors to benefit from Sensera’s connected jobsite solutions.

How will the new reseller agreement between Trimble and Sensera work?

Trimble and its BuildingPoint channel will offer Sensera’s jobsite intelligence solutions including solar/wireless cameras and SiteCloud^™ software and service to extend its jobsite management portfolio. The cameras will be sold with Trimble CrewSight which combines a jobsite access control system with a worker database for increased site security, worker communications, and jobsite management.

Can you describe how the Sensera jobsite intelligence solutions will interface with the Trimble products?

Safety and security are top concerns for general contractors. The combination of Sensera’s cameras and SiteCloud platform with Trimble CrewSight jobsite access control creates a powerful solution for contractors to easily monitor and manage their jobsites. Together, these solutions provide a new level of confidence in maintaining jobsite control and safety by providing knowledge and visibility into who is on the jobsite at any given time.

Can you describe a typical workflow using the job site intelligence solutions with Trimble CrewSight?

Historically project managers would walk onto the jobsite to see who was there and identify any safety or security issues. In addition, security guards would be positioned at the entrance to ensure that only authorized workers enter the jobsite.  Trimble CrewSight enables the credentialing of workers with photo ID badges and/or hard hat beacons with sensors that connect to a central database in real-time can ensure that only workers with approved access are allowed onsite. In addition, in the event of an emergency, CrewSight’s labor management technology can broadcast text alerts with check-in point details and track which workers have reported to the rally site. At the same time, Sensera Systems cameras and SiteCloud platform provide real-time views of the site enabling project teams to confirm worker locations and flow.

What types of safety features does Sensera offer?

Sensera Systems is a leader in transforming construction with real-time jobsite intelligence solutions. The SiteCloud^™ platform provides easy-to-use software for viewing, monitoring, and sharing real-time site data, detecting actionable insights, and simplifying workflow. Together, Sensera’s cameras and SiteCloud platform provide visibility into the jobsite so, for example if there is a break in, or safety incident it will be captured on camera.

Trimble’s CrewSight technology enables automated labor tracking for improved jobsite safety and security. By adding cameras to the jobsite and integrating the technology, contractors will have greater visibility into who is on the site at any given time with the added assurance that only those authorized to be on the site are allowed entry.

Select Sensera solutions for construction worksites are available in North America through participating BuildingPoint resellers and directly through Trimble Buildings sales teams, beginning in January 2020.
