Tim McDonough, general manager of Industries, for Unity3D spoke with AECCafe Voice about the PiXYZ plug in that can be now used to host AEC projects in Unity3D.
PiXYZ Plugin and PiXYZ Studio for Unity allows you to import IFC BIM files into Unity. The 2018.3 version of the PiXYZ products are now available and can import the geometry from Revit and all BIM 360 data.

President of Tech-Clarity, Inc. and COFES conference co-chair and moderator, Jim Brown spoke about the COFES Conference, Congress of on the Future of Engineering, which is to be held in Silicon Valley this year April 7-April 10. While COFES has traditionally been held over a weekend, this year it will take place on business days.

Digital twin technology has been talked about a great deal over the past few years, and is being worked on in various technology segments. At one time it was the province of manufacturing and now it is part of the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and data analytics. It is also being explored by numerous industries. The IDC recently noted that by the year 2020, 30% of global 2000 companies will be implementing data from digital twins to gain greater productivity.
