Sumit Singhal
Sumit Singhal loves modern architecture. He comes from a family of builders who have built more than 20 projects in the last ten years near Delhi in India. The existing offices are combined with an salt storage and garages for snowploughs and gritting trucks. The arrangement of the plot is based on the typology of a farmyard. The different functions are organised around an open court, visible from the office.  Salt Storage Front View
 Salt Storage Ploegen The starting point of the used materials is the extreme corrosive environment of the salt yard. The substructure is formed by the repetition of a modular prefab concrete element. This plinth frames and delimits the plot.  Salt Storage Machines in Line The roof is presented as a light-footed construction which refers to breaking up ice.
