The project encompasses an institutional master plan and design of four landmark buildings featuring the most current technologies available for building, medical equipment, and healthcare systems.
The 360-bed, 72,000 sm Center for Cancer and Liver Diseases, featuring inpatient nursing units, ambulatory clinics, treatment areas, and diagnostic, support, and technical services, will be connected with the existing hospital.
The 38,000 sm National Biotechnology Center, comprising a biotechnology research facility, allied health training unit, common public and support areas, multi-story parking, and new gate and access road network, is envisioned as the prime research laboratory and training center in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the larger region.
The 12,000 sm, six-story, Royal Wing, has its own access road, and evacuation tunnel and is linked at the ground floor with the existing hospital for instant access to the emergency department, VIP outpatient clinics, medical imaging, and support facilities. A dedicated gate and road network serves the VIP population.
The 19,000sm, six-story, EMS and Polyclinic Building is connected to the existing hospital and includes an emergency department, polyclinics, family health clinics, lobby, reception areas, visitor’s center, public amenities, technical/support facilities, and helipad.

A Powerhouse and Service Tunnel System includes a 18,000 sm powerhouse facility and 1,800 m of tunnels to contain service utility systems. Underground parking for 1,200 vehicles provides convenient access to all medical and research buildings.
