Kuwait International Airport is planned to significantly increase capacity and establish a new regional air hub in the Gulf – the project’s strategic aims will be matched by a state-of-the-art terminal building, which will provide the highest levels of comfort for passengers and will set a new environmental benchmark for airport buildings. Its design is rooted in a sense of place, responsive to the climate of one of the hottest inhabited environments on earth and inspired by local forms and materials.

Located in the Revitalization District of East 11th Street, this vertical mixed-use project has become a unique focal point in a quickly growing neighborhood. The project includes 11 retail stores and offices, 20 residential condominiums of which 20% are affordable housing, and roof top decks accessible by all residents. The unique solar screen on the south and west facades is just one of the many aspects of the design that contributes to the 3?Star Green Building Rating. The East Village is also one of the City of Austin’s S.M.A.R.T. (Safe, Mixed-Income, Accessible, Reasonably Priced, Transit Oriented) Housing developments. The East 11th Street neighborhood in Austin has seen considerable change since 2001. Once a largely ignored portion of Austin, E. 11th Street is now home to many different retail shops, restaurants, offices, and cultural groups. The East Village seeks to capture this diversity by developing a dynamic and creative environment for its residents, combining retail shops and small commercial offices with residential units on the upper floors. On the fourth floor are two green roofs; each with a wonderful view of downtown.

Acting as a primary metro connection between Sofia’s city centre and the airport, and the hub of a major commercial redevelopment plan, the design of Station 20 site seeks to establish clear pathways, form active connections and harmonise architecture and landscape.
Architectural Concept Technopark Residential Area Skolkovo Innovation Center
Architectural Bureau Arch Group was created by architects Alexey Goryainov and Michael Krymov in 2007 in Moscow. The main activity at that time was the design of public interiors and control centers for major energy and telecommunications companies. Today, more than 15 projects are built. Also, the Bureau is engaged in designing buildings for different purposes and public interiors.

Name of Project: Residential area in Skolkovo Innovation Center
In approaching the design for the new Kimball Art Center, we found great inspiration in the urban development of Park City, the Kimball site, and the city’s mining heritage. We feel the form of the new Kimball Art Center emerges where these rich stories overlap.
The original 1860’s home sits modestly on its block. Humble and unassuming, its appearance defines its cultural significance; the workers cottage preserves a ‘moment’ in the rich, blue-collar heritage and character of Balmain. Preserving and restoring the integrity of the existing cottage as part of the streetscape and the eclectic, urban fabric of Balmain was always fundamental to the design. Any addition needed to be sympathetic, sensitively yet distinctively bridging the divide between new and old.
Malmö Central Station has always looked to move with the times. Since opening in 1858, the city’s first railway station has been rebuilt, extended and modernised to cater for changing passenger needs over the decades.
The original Terminal Building is in two sections. The smaller Green Hall was a waiting room for third-class passengers in the 1920s. The turquoise tiling has since regained its former lustre and the limestone floor is from Skånska Ignaberga. The Central Hall started out as an open platform building. Its old brick walls and herring-bone tiled floor have been carefully preserved. Beneath the domed roof, 15 shops and restaurants provide an inviting environment for people to meet and eat.

Held every five years, the event’s cyclical existence called for a temporary building which may be easily disassembled and relocated to another site. The pavilion exists of different parts, housing different functions, all singular cells but the strongest in coexistence with its neighboring parts.
The main concept is that during the 5 years no documenta is held, each cell can be assabled in a different german city and serve as an info booth to the next documenta. At the beginning of the next documenta, the parts get transported back and get reconnected on site.
The site is located in a residential area developed on a gentle perch in Hiroshima, overlooking a far view of the Inland Sea and Miyajima. The land of this area is developed into platforms form with several levels. The architecture was requested to have a view over the roof of the neighboring house, standing one level lower, and to consider security, for the site is located at the edge of the residential area, and to leave some space for extension when the client opens a small shop in the future.
Makenna Resort is located in southern Bahia state between the cities of Ilheus and Itacare in Environmental Reserve area of native Atlantic forest protected by UNESCO. The program consists of a clubhouse with restaurant and leisure rooms, spa, 16 bungalows and service sectors, with total area of 6,700 m². It is inserted in a plot of 50hás, remaining intact 42hás of Atlantic forest, intervening only in 8hás next to the Navy strip.
