The Great Wall of China… Le Corbusier’s 1931 Algiers Plan Obus…Soria y Mata’s 1862 La Ciudad Lineal… the 5-kilometer-long linear cypress path in Bolgheri…

A never-ending tree path, full of elderly and children, women and men, people on bikes and people walking through a collage of hundreds of different landscapes, races, colors, hairdos and clothes, where the trees change as the geography changes.

The Line is 15,000 km long, between Wuwei and Venice. The Line is the longest walkway and bike path in the world. Two lanes, connected by suspended passages, above a sort of green canal of gardens: the Never-Ending Garden. The Line lays on thousands of arches. Thousands of arches that change shape, changing with the building cultures of the different regions crossed.

Houses and other kinds of buildings are stuck under the arches like lichens on a never-ending cliff. People living in The Line design their houses under the arches however they want, building with recycled and natural materials using the different techniques of each region. The Line is powered by sun, wind, earth, water.

The Line is a strip uniting China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Armenia, Turkey, Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia, Croatia and Italy, but also creates other relationships, generating fluxes and connections in every direction.

The Line consists of 500 sections.
Each section is 30 km long.
Each section is made of 1,000 arches, each 30 m wide.
20,000 people live under the arches of each section.
At the end of each section people can find services and more.
The Line consists of 500,000 arches.
10,000,000 people live in the The Line.
The Line will be the longest city in the world.
The Line will also be called Slow City.
